This is incredibly tragic and a horribly sad example of the incompetence in the medical system and the contamination of science... both motivated by profit rather than the art of healing.
Based on the following...

Those needle marks may very likely be from administering insulin as he was diabetic. That large dark gaping wound on his leg is necrosis or gangrene. EVERY SINGLE symptom and medical condition that he had... lupus, diabetes, vitiligo, breakdown of collagen, constant pain, dramatic fluctuations in his condition... and his final cardiac arrest can all be explained by a severe case of Adrenal Insufficiency.
If the following information regarding the pharmaceuticals he was taking is accurate...

I cannot comment regarding whether or not this doctor was licensed to supply these medications or if he was in fact the person that supplied them. Out of all of them... however... the worst one most likely would have been the anabolic steroids which would... due to the feedback loops in the endocrine system... have been further detrimental to his adrenal functioning... resulting in the downward spiral of his health. It would appear that the problem stems from him not being properly diagnosed a very long time ago and subsequently not being properly treated.
Also... due to the intensity of the pain he was very likely experiencing coupled with his declining health and the added stress of a longer-than-anticipated concert tour... and in combination with the reports in the media (assuming their accuracy)... including the presence of Propofol and the following...

Suicide... whether self-inflicted or assisted by a physician should also not be ruled out.

The real tragedy is that had he been properly treated for the traumatic stress he endured... this ALL could have very easily been prevented!
This wasn't just about music!

Though I have faint faith in the capacity of the LAPD, I am heartened to hear that they're taking Michael Jackson's death seriously. (The argument that a person could not have been killed because he was an addict has all the prejudice of saying a person could not have been raped because she was promiscuous: it's illogical and it's unjust.)
Michael Jackson was a fantastic father!
I asked my father repeatedly to dangle me over the hotel balcony and he said NO.
I asked him if I could wear a mask and he said NO.
I asked him if he knew where the other glove was and he said NO.
I asked him if he was normal and he said NO.
and you have NO TALENT.. yes!
You know what the difference between Michael Jackson and Neil Armstrong was? Neil walked on the moon; Michael mollestd children.
I don't know why, but I feel sorry for Dr. Conrad. Somehow he seems to have just recently been caught up in a scenerio that has been going on for years. He was just the last doctor in a long list of Doctors who probably did much more damage to Jackson, than Conrad ever did. Maybe Conrad did kill him by misadministration of drugs, but I am pulling for him. It doesn't seem right that he is the one they focus this entire thing on considering all others who were much more deeply involved for at least 15 years back. Conrad spent twenty years practicing without a complaint made against him. Afterall, Jackson was in search of any doctor who would help him obtain drugs, and so I see MJ as at least reponsible for the most part as Conrad for his own death.
I guess if you are the one to administer the fatal dose, it doesn't matter much what went on before. Like if you find a person who had been shot (or poisoned, or whatever) who is still alive, and put a pillow over his face to suffocate him, you're the one who caused the death. Perhaps if he had been licensed to give that particular drug it might be a different story, although I can't see any circumstances that this particular drug can be considered proper usage under those conditions . . . not in hospital setting, etc. I agree he was certainly responsible for his own death in demanding this drug, even if he was depending on the knowledge of the doctor to prevent that from happening.
If this doctor, as well as those before, had been ethical, there wouldn't have been a problem. Their oath is to first do no harm. I suppose they felt they were helping, not harming, by giving drug to relieve pain and suffering.
IF this doctor administered propofol in Michael Jackson's home, that is illegal. He is a doctor and doctor's take oaths.
For him, this Jackson gig was financially lucrative, and look where it got him.
We will see who the other doctors are in this insane drama, but one thing is for certain. There are bad doctors out there. And doctors don't rat on other doctors. So let the bad ones keep on practicing and watch the malpractice rates for everyone go up and add to the healthcare woes.
I'm not sure why a dermatologist, Dr. Klein, would prescribe Demerol. We all need more information in this case and we will have to wait, but as for Dr. Conrad, I have no pity. He got caught doing something he didn't medically know how to handle.
This TMZ story has since been denied by investigators. Read stories from later in the day. Why is TMZ treated with such all out trust? They are just another tabloid source that sensationalizes things that have already been told by other sources in the recent past.
if it was anesthesia that would explain why the dr spent 20 minutes trying to revive him without calling 9 1 1.
still no explanation as to why he administered it on the bed with one hand under michael's body to support the CPR.
I have zero sense of what truly happened to precipitate Jackson's death; however, when it was reported that the "house doc" was "missing" right after the event, I couldn't understand it. Think, for a moment, about your primary care doctor. Now, imagine your primary care doc is a cardiologist, who, in the course of his or her career, has certainly witnessed/responded to numerous codes. Now imagine being at home, your doctor is there (I told you to "imagine"), something catastrophic occurs, EMS isn't called for precious minutes, and then your doctor runs off. Discuss.
micheal's life, and death, should give everyone, even current celebrities, pause to reconsider if iconic fame is really worth it in the end. sure he'll go down as one of the greatest entertainers our civilization has ever produced but he paid such a heavy price. the only other entertainer who comes close to reaching his level is madonna. though, unlike micheal, she wasn't groomed as a child to be an entertainer. she achieved it as an adult. it was her choice and she was able to control it every step of the way. that makes all the difference in being able to deal with all the negative baggage that comes with fame.
TMZ has been right about everything else so far. Michael's life didn't have to end this way. Unfortunately, he was a broken soul who surrounded himself with the worst sort of people. And just for the record, I refuse to purchase any books that attempts to assassinate his character.
