David Letterman has been rocking of late. Since Conan became his competition, the show has topped the ratings, David seems happy, he got an uplife via his little dust up with Sarah Palin, and he has been getting some fantastic guests.

I've been in love with him since I was 6- he is just a doll, and a very decent and good soul who has given nothing but joy and beauty to the world. I would have killed to be outside the Ed Sullivan Theater yesterday!

Wish I had been there! The Beatles were geniuses--there will never again be anything like them! Thank-you, Paul, for giving us that performance. Thank-you, John Lennon--YOU were the real genius of the group. Thank-you George Harrison, my favorite Beatle. And last, but not least, thanks Ringo--you're so cool............I MISS THE BEATLES!!!!! LONG LIVE THEIR MUSIC!!!!

I couldn't agree more, with one exception. They were all geniuses!

The Beatles were geniuses?

Who knew?

I always thought geniuses were people like Einstein and da Vinci.

You know - people who weren't just at the right place at the right time...

The Beatles were fun. Geniuses, not so much.

If you think the only factors that made the Beatles as huge as they are was being in the right place at the right time and that they were "fun", you really must be a complete snob.

The Beatles were geniuses. Musical geniuses. You are confusing geniuses with scientists.

If I remember correctly, that bass still has the set list from the Beatles' last concert at Candlestick Park in 1966 taped to the back of it. He never took it off.

Talk about iconic.

Hey where was Sarah Palin's *15* anti Letterman protestors? LOL
07:53 AM on 07/16/2009
Only in NYC do you get a free concert like that on the spur of the moment. Hundres gathered based only on word-of-mouth.

Song was great...............he still is wonderful!
The interview on Letterman was a little flat for Sir Paul!
