I was a Marine in Vietnam during 1967-68 and this whole thing is starting to look like a very bad flash-back:
Technocrats and politicians in Washington, with no combat experience, and not enough sense to pour piss out of a boot dream up wild schemes and poor Grunts suffer so they can clam "success" on the evening news!

I'm just waiting to hear about a "Light at the end of the tunnel!"
