You have my permission to buzz my house.

True story. In Tustin, 1963, near El Toro Marine Base, Calif. I was home, we hear the approaching roar of a jet. Louder and louder. Windows rattling, noise is ear splitting. We run outside to see what the heck is going on. We see a Marine jet pulling up and away from us. We're looking right into his tailpipe, afterburner on. He must have been just a few hundred feet over the house. Turns out he was just saying hello to his wife, a few doors down. LOL. Might have been an F-8 Crusader. Crazy fighter jocks.

they have to be a certain height in the air or they can't recover and fall out of the sky!

Vippy, did you take your multi-vitamin today?
"they can't 'recover' (from what) and fall out of the sky"?????
Your statement is very convoluted.

So long as there is airflow over the airfoil of the wing, it will produce lift.

Do you know what "Ground Effect" is? Planes actually have "trouble" landing because there is a cushion of air beneath the wings that float the planes over the runway until they are sufficiently slow to sink through it.

Looks like it's real: http://bit.ly/l04fY (Detroit site verifies). "The picture, which appeared in the Detroit News, New York Post and on the "Today" show Monday, was taken by Detroit News photographer Steve Perez."

And it was likely a telephoto lens: "According to the military, the jet was actually about 200 to 300 feet away from the shoreline. Authorities said no one on the ground or in a building was ever at any risk."

Also here's the NYPOST pic http://bit.ly/2xQTAq and Detroit7 ABC-affiliate announcing the flyover http://bit.ly/3vKEIz

I don't know a lot about planes other than the ones flying overheat as they land at McConnell AFT 3 miles south and the Boeing Plant just west of the base and of course the yearly air shows that have all the major military aerobic groups fling a few hundred feet over my house each year, but shouldn't those winds have had a more pointed tip showing at the top and bottom of the front wings? It looks a little fake to me. tonight one came in pretty low over my house and for a few seconds I figured life was gogin to end living this close to the flight path, so I do try to pay attentions to what front wings look like.

Total HOAX !

The back of the plane isn't even visible through the windows.

The fins and the afterburner cans are hidden behind the pillar. What were you expecting to see through the windows, the red/white-striped tailhook fully extended? It's totally real, the navy did waste thousands of our tax money. :-(

Just how long do you think that aircraft is? It's rear end is obscured by the pillar.

they would NEVER allow a military plane to fly that close to a building. All the windows would have burst out.

As someone who was there, I can assure you it happened. The jet was not traveling at great speed, thus negating worry about blowing out windows. The back of the plane isn't visible? Well no, it's behind the walls of the building. How long do you think an F-18 is?

What equipment was used to take this? Unless it's very high speed, this pic is a hoax unless either the plane or the building are blurry from panning.

+ the man would be blown off the balcony by the wind force.

Photoshop all the way.

He wouldn't be blown off if the lens is telephoto. If the photo is real then the plane is probably a lot farther away than it looks. Telephotos change the way distance looks and can be extremely deceptive --paparazzi use them to make people look like they're doing things that they aren't.

Perhaps the poor man on the balcony is DEAF and isn't affected by the tremendous noise from this aircraft...

Emiliano Zapata was born in 1879 and died in 1919. He had no understanding of jet aircraft and probably the best jet fuel he ever sniffed had agave in it!
The jet was hundreds of feet away from the building. No te precocupes!
