Former Net star Richard Jefferson admitted yesterday that he told his beautiful bride-to-be that their wedding was off in an e-mail -- stunning her just days before their planned posh nuptials.

Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols got the heart-wrenching message after a tense Fourth of July weekend, Jefferson told The Post.

Too bad we cannot give him some cute little nickname like the one given to the "runaway bride". It took alot of courage for hime to do this. In a perfect world, a face to face would have been the way to go. However, in a world in which she could have accused him of abuse, assault, etc., and therr were no witnesses around, guess who would have been arrested and whose name would be splattered everywhere labeled as an "abuser". His mind was made up.
