If they DIDN'T, we WOULD be surprised! The distrust out here is more than palpable.

Borowitz is a little slow. The Banking Cartell/Fedral Reserve aquired the Treasury Department in 1913.
Congress and Senate work on an as needed/performance based pay scale for them.

NOT A JOKE !

Our problems can not be solved by the people who caused them. It is time to get rid of ANY politician who has been in office more than one term, fix campaign finance rules so corporations can't buy politicians, and repeal the law that designates corporations as a person.

I think Thomas Jefferson , Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy , and a host of others have agreed with you wholeheartedly. And used every means they could muster , and they failed.

I'm not trying to discourage you. Just know what we are facing.

Our enemy is an Multinational Banking system.

Read on a billboard recently: "This will end long before those who caused it are paroled" as if all that many who deserve to be bunking with Bernie Maddoff will ever see the inside of a courtroom never mind a jail cell.

Doesn't the Treasury Dept. have Wall Street ties?

According to the Wall Street Journal writers any person who has a history of denying fraud and corruption is unqualified to sit on an investigating blue ribbon committee to investigate the greatest coverup in the history of financial thievery and fraud. This Committee must not furnish a coverup. They must disclose what they find. Let the chips fall where they may.

Government thinks the American people will by into another Warren Commission-type white wash so the actual people who planned and implemented the economic crash can walk with all their ill-gotten gains ... hopefully, America will do another Viet Nam type protesting if that is where this mess is heading ... time for a third and fourth party!

You know there is some merit to giving all parties a seat at the table in matters of importance. However, this is getting rediculous. Especially when referring to lawyers who represent the industry.I don't want impartiality in these investigations, I want determination to get to the truth. I don't want a report that smooths over the rough edges, I want all ugliness and bad behavior of these Wall Steet gangstas exposed in all their gutless, cowardice, immoral glory. It is time to stop the pandering to Wall Street.

don't understand why I have to cut out coupons from www.slickbudget.com and the government can just raise taxes when they are short money. Why don't they do what every family does, cut back.

Just like every other snow job investigation over the past 30 years. Is Lee Hamilton on the committee as the token Democrat?
