The Alexandria: Jon Gosselin's New York Bachelor Apartment

"Jon & Kate Plus 8" newly single dad Jon Gosselin has supposedly moved into a two-bedroom apartment in The Alexandra, an Upper West Side building at 201 West 72nd Street.

People reports he moved into the building recently and stayed a night, shortly before taking off for France with his girlfriend Hailey Glassman and visiting his eight kids in Pennsylvania, where he is also obligated to film his TLC reality show.

The building, on the corner of Broadway, has a few comparable listings currently for rent, which can be seen on Streeteasy.com.

The two two-bedroom apartments now available for rent are going for $4800 and $5000 a month, and are 1076 square ft and 1150 square ft respectively.

The average for-sale price in the building is $1,148 per ft.

No word how much Gosselin is paying or how many beds he's put in to possibly accommodate a visit from his sizable brood.

Oh yes, of course you should. They are both highly dangerous people. The biggest fear you should have is the eight kids. I'm sure they are all packing Uzi's and blades. Especially keep your eyes open for six of them that look alike. They know you'll never be able to identify any specific one.

Jon was a passive young guy that got pussywhipped into fathering a litter of kids at a young age; he spent his 20's married to a control freak, and now he gets to play while she raises the litter. End of story. Lucky for all of them a gullible American public eats up this freakshow thus allowing Jon to live out his swingle guy fantasy in NYC (I've never watched an episode, and since children are of zero interest to me, and even the thought of voluntarily giving birth to 6 children at once actually revolts me, I never will.)

No, Jon would be hustling a nine to five and not running around the world banging everything under 23 he can find and buying expensive apartments and jet setting all over the world if it wasn't for Kate and those 8. He used them, now he's free to party up like a rock star. So stop acting like a grown man was some how conned into marrying his wife, and giving up his sperm. And stop making excusing for him, he can man up and do that for himself.

Kate is no better. They both obviously love their children; Kate also likes the fact that they are making lots of money off of them. She's just a little more discreet. The show needs to be cancelled then you'll see if either of them is "grown up".

Doesn't Jon have 50-50 custody, spending every other week living with the children in their own home? Has anyone thought about how Jon is paying for this "friendship" or engagement ring? Technically, they're still married, right, so wouldn't they still have all their money still together? Fortunately, I've never been divorced so I don't know of these things but my hubby brought up that he's sure Kate would be the one doing the accounting at home -- can you picture her getting the bill from the jeweler?

No, community property ends at the date of separation. Whatever is earned AFTER the date of separation does not belong to the community.

That's why Kate stated that the separation date was much earlier than she was holding out to the public on the show. She's earned big bucks since her 'date of separation,' and she wants to keep every penny.

She has to, because she is now the single mother of 8 children. While her ex-hubby goes out living his bachelor dream in a rockin' apartment with a young girlfriend, Kate still has to worry about paying the electric bill, setting up college funds for the kids, getting them ready for school on a day-to-day basis, and all of the responsibilities that come with being a grown up. Unfortunately, she didn't marry a grown up.

Yeah, that must be why Kate actually whacked Emeril Lagasse when he was on their show. She was constantly belittling Jon throughout the show and when Emeril murmured something like, "He's doing fine," she backhanded him on the upper arm. If I were John, I'd be afraid to "man up." =0)

UGH did anyone see the pic of the kids and her in NY. The children looked unhappy as she was dragging them across the street in NY for a photo shoot. I think TLC are the parents of these children now. They seem to up and go whenever TLC demands them to. Jon and Kate are the part time parents but for sure TLC is the primary parents of these 8 children.

Perhaps it was her custodial time? That's the way it works. Mom has a specified amount of time, and dad has a specified amount of time. Maybe TLC didn't involve Jon. Who knows..do you?

No amount of part time parenting is going to allow him to monitor the emotional development of 8 children.

She needs to remarry, and soon.

For the kid's sake let's hope she chooses wisely.
