I personally owe this community a debt of gratitude, and know to my core that much of what we see today in the success of the progressive community, on and offline, started here and continues here.

There is absolutely no context by which a reader can make sense of this story. Huffington Post editors, please show some respect for your readers. I wasted my time reading through the whole thing without coming out with anything WHATSOEVER!

The context is that Trippi was hired by Rep. Carolyn Maloney to run her campaign for the Senate seat held by Kirsten Gillibrand, and not only has he been advocating for Maloney at Daily Kos and other places without disclosing that he is her paid employee, but also people from his office have opened up ad hoc sock puppet accounts at Daily Kos to bash Gillibrand.

Very dishonest, and not done in correct political circles.

Seriously, this isn't done in "correct political circles"? Were any of awake during our most recent election? Creating a few anonymous accounts on the internet in order to talk up your candidate strikes me as a non-issue. I honestly don't get what this is all about or why anyone would care, but then I'm not a Kossak and I don't get that whole community.

He's apologizing to everyone who reads that blog. As far as I'm concerned it's over, and I wonder how many other politicans have supports come on and blog support, I bet they all do.
