Who are the lobbyists for the homeless?

way to keep the socioeconomic divide in this country alive. this is disgusting; although i appreciate that these people found a source of income so they can live more comfortably, it's so clearly just one way washington knows how to take advantage of its population.

I like the fact that this has made the homeless man feel more secure about his place in the world, I just wish that it wasn't for lobbyist. They are always for the wrong thing. They are probably working for some Republican company trying to make sure that no one has health care but the rich!

This looks like a job for Glenn Beck and Bill O, they would sit well for the lobbyist.

I guess this is that trickle down economics I've heard so much about.

Does anyone actually believe that this is news? Whether they use college students or others, this is a well-established practice.

No news here, folks. Keep moving.

How do you "sale" your mother, anyway?

Beats trying to "sail" her I'd think.

If you come into DC and lobby any Congress person, you cannot give them any money, or give to their campaigns, not you organization or you as an individual. All Congresspersons should get their money for campaigns equally through a fund, or in individual donations. No PACS, no corporate donations.

Corporate donations lead to Corporate Welfare, only the individual should ever receive welfare an only for short time to get them on their feet, if a corporation wants tax payers dollars/welfare, they should apply for a loan, seeing they are in business for profit.

We have to take “K Street,” out of Washington, they have bought Congress, Lock, Stock and Soul.

I wonder if the lobbyists pay the line-standers out of pocket and count the line-standers time as billable hours or write it off as overhead. Don't forget, every penny that a lobbyist gets originally came from a working American.

And thanks to the Bush Boom, there's no shortage of people willing to stand in line for them!

That's disgusting, I hope it's illegal very soon. I remember something about Senator McCaskel (?sp.) talking about writing legislation. It would be nice if these FAT CAT lobbiests went down and stood in line for the homeless when they want to get a bed or meal.

I'm not crazy about what many of the major lobbyists lobby for, but giving a homeless man a "job" is a problem because of what now?

Should he have been given stock or something instead, or would you prefer that he be out begging on the streets?

In a way, they are paid to stay on the street. Nice twist.
