I'm really sick of Andrea Mitchell and her no interviewing self! Someone should ask her about her husband's involvement in the demise of our economic system. It's funny that no one has concentrated on that. That would shut her up for a while!

I also fall under Tricare Retiree insurance. I have the basic plan where I pay no monthly out of pocket costs, but have a higher cost share for services rendered. Here's the rub - We just received a bill from a doctor for $2850. Tricare paid $218. Our cost share is $72. The doctor accepts this under the plan. How does he recoup the remainder of his cost? Approximately $2550????? Is it a write-off? Or is this the WASTE? FRAUD? ABUSE? built into the insurance system??? Or is he just overcharging?
Overcharging. And doctors are a big reason for the high cost of healthcare.

Yep, he should take that $300 bucks and be happy. I know I'd spend $100k plus for education and spend 8 years in advanced education to get my degree so I can earn $15 bucks an hour then pay $20 bucks an hour for malpractice insurance. But hey, nobody's complaining about the ambulance chasing lawyers who make $500 an hour by suing doctors who fail to perform miracle procedures flawlessly.

Keeping Americans ignorant and scared is a very effective tool. If you listen to the media and those interviewed in Congress, it's just sickening! It's always about "we can't" because of the costs. That doesn't seem to affect them when they vote on raises for themselves, Congress, when all in America are taking cuts to help their businesses. People in America know that we can do better but rely on Congress to do everything and that everything is simply taking care of their pockets. Congress has money from tax payers to select their own health care at our expense but don't think the American public deserves affordable health care. They will always take care of themselves if we Americans don't stand up and say ENOUGH! President Obama can't do it by himself. We have to help him NOW before it's too late and Congress and big business screws it up.
Maybe their salaries should be cut and they should pay for their insurance out of pocket

Sen. Olympia Snowe’s argument against a public option in healthcare reform, it will be too cheap for us:
“If you establish a public option at the forefront that goes head-to-head and competes with the private health insurance market … the public option will have significant price advantages
That is, we can’t have it, because it would save us too much that rightly belong to the insurance industry!

The bill he wants passed is byzantine , it is made up of dead ends and hidden rules. It will require thousands of facts checkers and paper pushers on top of those the insurance employ.Sav
It will push small businesses into collapse at a time when we desperately need to help them stay afloat. it robs from the sick on medicad to subsidize people who don't even need to see a doctor.. What kind of compassion is that?
By making it mandatory to purchase, it is a total boon to the insurance comapnies who will no longer need to compete for business.
