A sweeping United States military review calls for overhauling the troubled American-run prison here as well as the entire Afghan jail and judicial systems, a reaction to worries that abuses and militant recruiting within the prisons are helping to strengthen the Taliban.

May I be so bold as to suggest that blowing up innocent men, women & children led to and leads to radicalizing any population. Perhaps people remember 9/11/01 and the extremism that followed from that event.
What makes Americans think other people are any different?
Sure. What's that going to cost? billions? trillions?
Congress has yet to question the defense budget. There's always money for the CIA & defense department.
As our unemployment numbers rise, our infrastructure crumbles, the homeless numbers rise, why are we spending money building prisons and restructuring the judicial system in Afghanistan? Why are we bankrupt when it comes to spending money on U.S. citizens, but not when it comes to wars and foreign countries? Our military mindset in bankrupting the U.S. along with banks and Wall Street.
The military is what bankrupts all empires. The US will be no different.
A little paint, and some new curtains, and all will be well!
The train's already left the station. If the Obama administration had held the Bush administration accountable for war crimes authorized by the Bush Executive Branch, Taliban recuritment efforts might've been harder, but when the US violates international law, The Geneva Conventions, the UN Conventions Against Torture, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the US rejects the notion of accountability and Western allies are silent, Taliban recruitment has a higher probabillity of suceeding. This isn't rocket science.
George Bush, the GOP & Congress generally have been al qaida's top recruiters. President Obama & Dems are doing equally well.

President Obama is expanding the use of the military in Afghanistan as if that is going to lead to anything good. Blowing up innocent men, women & children isn't new policy, it's just more of the same.
Just a little whitewash and nobody will know the difference. Destroy the evidence.

That's nice, good thing they are "seeking" to do it rather then just f u c k i n g doing it.
