Emma Watson Is Going to College At Brown

Emma Watson is similar to her Harry Potter alter ego Hermione Granger in at least one way: Her pursuit of her studies.

Watson, 19, will be attending Brown University in Providence, R.I., she confirmed to Paste magazine, saying, "I am [going to university in the Fall] -- to Brown, which is an Ivy League establishment in the U.S.A. I've got a place there to read literature."

I had heard the rumors about her attending an Ivy League school. But I would have thought she would have attended Yale, because of its highly regarded School of Drama.

Not really. Her family is made up of a bunch of lawyers, academics, etc and she apparently takes after them. I think she even said that she's probably not going to stick around in the entertainment industry unless there's a movie she could really get passionate about..

Well sure, it's an "ivy", but it's in the Providence Plantations part of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. Might be a letdown after Hogwarts.
