Malaysian Prince Sues Estranged Wife, Mother-In-Law For $30M Over Rape Allegations

A Malaysian prince is seeking $30 million in damages from his estranged wife and mother-in-law over accusations that he raped and tortured his wife. A lawyer for Tengku Temenggong Tengku Mohammad Fakhry said the prince's "reputation has been tarnished" and his client has filed the multi-million dollar defamation suit to clear his name. According to Allheadlinenews, Manohara Odelia Pinot filed a police report against her husband in Indonesia, her home country. She was able to escape to Indonesia while the royal family was in Singapore.

Pinot, 17, alleged Fakhry had sexually assaulted her, slashed her with razor blades earlier this year and held her captive in her room, drugging her whenever she complained.

Pinot and her mother, Daisy Fajarina, are currently in Indonesia and have 21 days to respond to the lawsuit.
