Susan Boyle's full sitdown with Meredith Vieira aired Wednesday, after a snippet with her makeover and fame talk went online over the weekend.
She talked about how overwhelming her sudden fame was, describing it as "a demolition ball."
Of her five days at the Priory mental health clinic Boyle said, "I just needed a rest. I just needed to get away."

NBC is in trouble financially, and AGT is one of their highest rated shows of the summer (although I can't understand why.)
They didn't want to skip the show for financial reasons and were banking on Susan Boyle's interview increasing the rating even more.

I fell hard for Barack Obama sometime after he began running for President. I fell for Susan Boyle after hearing her sing during her try outs. Now she displaced the Pres. in his time slot! The kind of work he is doing for us is absolutely grueling. He is not perfect yet-what president is especially after only six months no less! It is like this country has a serious disease that will need time and everyone's cooperation to cure. I thank God everyday for President Obama and for Susan Boyle. Something about this simple sweet (and feisty) women reminds me what is truly important. Besides what a story and voice.

I like Susan's spunk. I wish she weren't so fragile, but at least she's taking care of herself.

Everyone can be overwhelmed at some point in their lives, and for this quiet middle-aged woman from a tiny Scottish town it must have been huge. So glad Ms. Boyle got the respite and help she needed
The sprucing up she got is excellent -- not too much and very becoming. She has her chance to realize her dream, and I hope it's everything she wants.
With new spruced-up look, kinda reminds me of Julia Child.
