Some adults are just mean to shrivel in their own hardened mold, while others prefer to play their way through life and learn how to better open themselves up to new things.

How long would it have taken to consult a friend so you could get the captions right? You don't recognize Poison Ivy even though Uma Thurman played her in a huge movie? If you are so anti-pop-culture of this sort, maybe get someone else to write this. Just sayin'.

BTW, that is not 'Batman, Robin and foes'. They are all Justice League heroes minus the Riddler, in the middle.

The Trekkers will always have a place there.

PLEASE BRING BACK THE PHOTO CAPTION CONTEST! IT WAS MUCH MORE FUN THAN THESE VOTES!!

The photos are poorly captioned and more than a little mocking.

The best Con is in Baltimore... the people went the extra mile to dress up and they looked so real. I actually felt a little tingle when I saw Link and Zelda walking out to the cafeteria! Awesome!!

They only call it class war when we fight back.

I wish they'd go away. I'm a sort of geek too, but these people are truly annoying.

I miss Comic-Con when it was just the "San Diego Comic-Con".

Back then, it was there for the fans.

Now, it's all about catering to celebrities, $200 per autograph (I kid you not. Try getting Patrick Stewart to sign ANYTHING for less than 2 Benjamins, for example), and the fans are now nothing but cattle to be milked dry.

Comic Con? Pheh. More like Comic CANNES now. The Comic Con I once new is now dead.

You guys should try finding some girlfriends.

Listen to Friggles. Friggles knows. Friggles wouldn't spend time reading news blogs and posting derogatory comments if Friggles didn't know about girls.

Don't go outside. Be like Friggles and just look at pictures of the comic convention. Then be snide.

I don't know what's so funny about Death Note. It is one of the best animes ever made. If only they had stopped in the middle, right when it became lucrative, it would have been even better. Unfortunately, revenue beats artistic quality every day.

Is there a "I-eventually-grew-up-got-a-girlfriend-and-stopped-considering-Harry-Potter-great-literature" convention?

Maybe there should be one.

As someone who's catering to her girlfriends "geek side" by taking her to Chicago for Wizard World's annual comic/pop culture fest next month, I can say that some of these "books" *ARE* pretty good. I used to scoff at the comic book reader....not so much now as I am always amazed they can keep track of so many different storylines. It's an interesting group of people to spend a weekend around, to say the least!
