Marsha Blackburn Apologizes For "Katrina" Comment

Rep. Marsha Blackburn quickly apologized for her comments Wednesday that "we're not going to cry emergency every time we have a Katrina."

"Clearly she misspoke," Blackburn's spokesman Claude Chafin said. "Her thoughts were moving faster than her speech."

Blackburn supports emergency funding for disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, Chafin said. She was intending to criticize the practice of adding non-urgent spending to emergency funding bills.

Rep. Blackburn did support the "Emergency Appropriations" bill in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

okay, i've never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the pack, but if her thoughts were moving faster than her speech, wouldn't that imply that she was actually thinking those things but wasn't able to keep from saying them. i would think maybe her speech was moving faster than her thoughts (assuming of course that she's capable of thoughts).

Oh yeah, she misspoke....she meant to say "It's only an emergency when rich, white republicans are in trouble". So she should be screaming EMERGENCY...DANGER WILL ROBINSON, because the republicans have a real emergency in their ranks and each one of them keep opening their mouths and exposing their REAL values.

I think she meant exactly what she said, and we are getting a full frontal flash point view of just what goes on in the "she ain't pretty she just looks that way" little Prejean head of this well heeled, born on the Right side of the tracks conservative Republican.
