This is what the oligarchies and the old school GOP works to protect-their way of life, where they look out for each other, save all of the best positions for each other, and keep the little people turned against each other for various reasons. They make me sick.

It is beyond me why women wear real fur. It is unnecessary (there are many beautiful fabrics that replicate fur and are very warm) and cruel. Shame.

I won't be happy until Bloomberg is out of office it is so outrageous how he bought the mayors position and New York City still goes along with it! It shows me just how far away New York City still is from coming clean on the current financial corruption and Stock Market manipulation. Bloomberg is as bad as Boss Tweed ever was. It makes me sick to my stomach.

I think parents with children in the public schools might disagree with you on that.

PETA where are you?
Wearing these kinds of furs - or any furs is outrageous and she is
wearing them in the middle of summer.
This woman needs a makeover asap.

They only get angry when black people do something to animals. They certainly aren't going to spray paint on Bloomberg's woman.

I dont see any articles about the clothing of male directors - this article is silly and so 1950's. Unbelievable.

I think articles like this are a total distraction. I know it's easy to say "look at those decadent rich people flaunting what they have." What we should be addressing is the root causes to the income disparity in this nation. Also, we should try to come up with meaningful solutions to our nations problems. Too many times our political leaders come up with half baked and in the final analysis meaningless measures because of the political pressures they face. Why don't we hold the fire to the toes of those institutions that undermine our democracy with their lobbyists instead of shaking our fingers, like the angry old women of the village, at scape goats.

I think she has a great sense of style. At the risk of being drowned in virtual red paint, my favorite pic of her is in the metallic gown with fur. She looks very glamorous.

Andrea, I am not throwing paint, but I would ask you if you don't find that look dated and somewhat conscience-free? Our grandmothers wore fur stoles. I'd like to think this generation's priorities are a bit more responsible. JMO.

I love vintage fashion. It's very elegant. I'm merely commenting on aesthetics, not the ethical decisions of others.

By the way, how are you so certain her stole is made out of animal fur? I have seen some amazing faux furs. You would not know the difference!

Glamour is great--but not when the nation is mired in a near depression.

Oh good grief - this is 2009 - this femme fatale dinosaur is possibly on the right side of the bell curve but very, very, low in EQ. What is that hideous, outdated, morally repulsive symbol of cash- to- burn draped on her shoulder? What next? Tiger skin purses, and monkey grinder on a leash and an alligator computer sack? Really? She feels this digusting display of LOW EQ is endearing? This couple picture tells America everything it needs to know - rich politicians literally coupling with Amazon women of low taste, not spiritually or emotionally aware, and capable of following any dictate for cash - the perfect robo administrator. Heaven help America. This picture is a gift to the American conscience. Too bad many won't see it.

It's almost as if we've come full circle to the 1920's.

Actually, we've never left the Dark Ages--thanks to #43.

Back in the Middle Ages, there were only lords and serfs. And Citigroup no doubt likes it that way: surprise, surprise, since most arrivistes love the "traditional." Back in the Middle Ages, they also liked fur-trimmed anything. And hence, this wanna be Queen Diana is doing the same.

Despite these many dubious attempts, true femininity eludes her. The women of the oligarchy are witches, no matter what their age.
