Foundamentalism of any religion is scary and destroys that religion too.
I personally don't mind buddhist, or Taoist, or Animist fundamentalism, if you catch my drift...
Religion is getting more and more dangerous and its adherents bolder as it sees atheism on the rise. The country should think of splitting and leaving those who wish to live under sharia law to do so amongst themselves. Probably the rest of the world would be better off if people who preferred one system of law and religion were just left to live as they wish and leave the rest of us alone. They would trade with each other and have their own particular brand of diplomatic channels. A kind of United Fundamentalist Sharia Nations or United Fundamentalist Christian Nations.
