Springsteen To Play Entire 'Born To Run' Album At United Center

Bruce Springsteen eased the worry of Chicago's die-hard "Thunder Road" fans Monday: Springsteen and his E Street Band are playing the United Center on September 20th and they'll perform his entire 1975 album "Born to Run."

Greg Kot reported the news on his Tribune blog. Tickets go on sale from Ticketmaster Aug. 1 at 11 a.m.

Allmusic's William Ruhlmann called Springsteen's third album "an intentional masterpiece," while Greil Marcus dubbed it "a magnificent album that pays off on every bet ever placed on him -- a '57 Chevy running on melted down Crystals records that shuts down every claim that has been made." Marcus rightly predicted that the record "should crack [Springsteen's] future wide open."
