I'm happy for the Brits, but so disappointed in Obama who in a videotaped videotaped interview, October 27, 2007 said - and this is a quote

"I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home, we will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank."

Another Obama promise in the dumper

I get the feeling that the Iraqs are going to have to kick everybody out in order to get their country back.

Hooray for vacations! The sooner the British leave, then the sooner the US can too.

And as the last of the British troops roll out and the seeds of democracy is sown it is up to the Iraqi people to take their destinies into their own hands and make a new day. And that's the way it is.

Bring home the troops, leave the contractors (without pay or airfare....)

So I guess it's now back to the coalition of the unwilling.

We need to get out of the middle east - I bet we'll have funding for healtcare reform after that. All of the other countries have withdrawn - it's time for the US to go too.

President Obama has not answered any of the questions of the Powell doctrine about his war in Afghanistan.

1. Is a vital national security interest threatened in Afghanistan?
2. Do we have a clear attainable objective?
3. Have the risks and costs been fully and frankly analyzed?
4. Have all other non-violent policy means been fully exhausted?
5. Is there a plausible exit strategy to avoid endless entanglement?
6. Have the consequences of our action been fully considered?
7. Is the action supported by the American people?
8. Do we have genuine broad international support?[1]

rolling --why are we in Afghanistan, why are we in Iraq, why are we stirring things up in Pakistan and Iran? The U.S. industrial military complex is making a living off of selling or giving weapons around the world. Isn't arms/weapons- making the last manufacturing enterprise left in the U.S.? No wonder we're so belligerent.

More like the "coalition of the willing-to-be-bribed". Conveniently, weasel failed to provide us with the details of how much we actually promised and/or paid to coalition members (except perhaps Britain) to pretend they had sufficient indignation about Saddam to send someone else's child to die for bushco.
