The National Weather Service says 2009 has seen the coldest July since the official recording station was moved away from the lakefront in 1942. The average temperature this month in Chicago has been a mere 68.9 degrees.

July 1942. You know, just one month later, the Navy started training pilots in carrier landings and take-offs on a couple of carriers in Lake Michigan. And now, with no carriers and extra fume belching planes out there, the temperature is back to where it was in '42. How is that for coincidence?
Nope, that does not make a bit of sense. Neither does trying to poke holes in global warming because of record low temps.

with Global Climate Change! through
our use of fossil fuels we have thrown
the planets climate out of balance and
away from what were normal temperatures
into a unpredictable pattern of weather
and undistinguishable seasons....
Let just hope we haven't passed the dipping point!
