Lou Dobbs Slams "Tea-Bagging Queen Rachel Maddow," Refuses To Back Off Obama Birth Certificate Controversy (AUDIO)

CNN's Lou Dobbs has come under fire for recent comments he made suggesting President Obama might be undocumented, and that, as a result, Obama's presidency and his actions as president could be deemed "illegal."

It seems Dobbs has no intention of backing down in the face of accusations that he is helping to keep alive the conspiracy theories promoted by the Obama 'birthers.' On his radio show today, Dobbs claimed the left and "ethnocentric issue groups" are trying to silence him and adamantly reiterated that Obama should produce his birth certificate:

The left is trying to silence their opponents and their competitors in the public marketplace of ideas... One issue in which the ethnocentric issue groups have been trying to silence me is on the issue of illegal immigration. Many of those, if you will, have migrated to me here recently because I, even though I said I believe the President is a citizen of the United States, I don't understand why he shouldn't produce a birth certificate. My God, you're talking about the third rail of American journalism, baby! That's it. I'm not going to back off.

Dobbs also took a shot at MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, slamming her for "lying" about him and "not being intellectually honest" regarding his Obama birth certificate statements. He also referred to her as the "tea-bagging queen":

And tea-bagging queen Rachel Maddow over at MSNBC, she wanted another shot so apparently she twisted, she tried to twist my words. She ignored my statements on the issue. In other words, she was not being intellectually honest. Imagine that. [...] She lied. I never said I'm a 'birther.' I'm not. I don't know how many times I've said, 'Barack Obama is a citizen of the United States. Why not release your birth certificate?' What is the big deal with saying that?

Dobbs took time out on the air to thank Fox News' Bill O'Reilly for defending his free-speech rights although O'Reilly dismissed the "bogus" birther movement, reports the LA Times' Show Tracker blog:

"He and I disagree on that, but I appreciate Bill O'Reilly being a stand-up guy," Dobbs said.

Lou has the right to express his opinion as all Americans do.
The President was born in Hawaii that is also a fact the newspaper
Archives for that time prove this. What Lou is asking the President to do is
release his original birth certificate.

If there was any group of people who had a right to terrorize white america for their cruelty and injustice and unfairness to a race of people, black america would b the only race to do so. I used to think of CNN as the standard for unbiased and credible newsreporting. Anchors like Dobbs and the former Beck have made CNN lose credibility. I used to watch their channel practically 5-7 hours a day. Now I'm lucky if I bother to turn to them for more than a half hour a day- and you can bet it's not between 7-8 pm EST! My advice to CNN is to at least remove the Independent label from Lou Dobbs' show. He is clearly a conservative (and a hard-liner at that.) It is condescending and a turn off for loyal fans like me fwhen CNN labels a right wing show as being independent- it is very much like Fox News calling itself Fair and Balanced. Just because they called it that did not make anyone with a brain actually believe it.

Our gay brothers and sisters have equal access to it's benefits. There are not any laws that prevent gays and lesbians from marrying. What is prohibited is particular form of union - the union of two people of the same sex - which is prohibited for homosexuals and heterosexuals alike.

Look back at Dobbs' tenure as a shill for corporate America. This guy will say anything that will provide him with a paycheck. This is not a defense, but he isn't doing anything different than 10's of millions of the rest of us, by dishonestly working the system for our own benefit. Lou Dobbs garbled populism fails. The birth certificate was produced and was verified by the State of Hawaii. What in the name of journalistic integrity means giving a forum again and again to people who have proven to be lying again and again.
