Just how stupid are these police that they do not realize that the dashcam in their cars was running? If all of the stupid racist cops are caught, then the cops smart enough to not send e-mails referring to a black man as a "banana eating jungle monkey" and those smart enough to know their own dashcam is on will be left. The racism will be harder to prove and unfortunately people will forget this incident and continue to see cops as our protectors who can do no wrong.

In this case a police investigator stopped the homicide investigation of an elderly and disabled man by falsely stating in his report that "[The coroner] determined that the drowning was accidental or [a] suicide." Why is there no article entitled "Crooked Cop Caught Obstructing Homicide Investigation"?

Here is another video of a cop near St. Louis going crazy and talking about inventing charges.

If the link doesn't work, then search on YouTube for Corrupt Cop and you should find the video

Gods we worship -- Is this what law enforcement is all about?
For strap a killing machine to a man’s body, and surely you end up with a god-ego that can only be appeased by adoration and worship.

Now if everyone was honest we would not need law enforcement, just pass honest laws and elect honest politicians to administer decency and order. But there is very little honor among men, least of all honorable politicians, so we need force and the lubricant that gets things done is government deadly force.

Watching how brutal the riot police in England are, beating to death on video an old man because he failed to get out of the way, I must say their almost as bad ours. But there is a world of difference between our law enforcement and theirs in the relationship carried on between the law and people,

For in grand old England no cop carries a gun, and would you believe cops are actually friendly toward the people. And the all-encompassing reason is that in England law-abiding people are never subjected to the deadly force of government.

Its like last spring at a grocery store a little girl in front of me shaking and lightly sobbing. So I looked up at her mother who then said, “She sees the policemen, I don’t know why she’s so afraid of him?” So I said to her, “Its not the cop, its the killing machine strapped to his body.”

I'm pretty sure they carry guns now.

Put them in jail immediately. Just because they have a gun and a badge they think they can behave in a lawless fashion.

What are the results of the blood test to verify whether the driver really was drunk? Her walking the line looked a lot better than most people can accomplish under pressure. Perhaps that was made up as well to justify the cop's inability to operate his vehicle.

Everyday we hear more stories of racism, bad cops, and children killing each other. American values what? We just came out of the conservative era in which values and morals were not priority, only money. I don't want to hear another politician talk about values, when no one does anything socially to ensure our communities are educated, safe, and honest. Every level of gov't appears to be motivated by budgets.

She probably has a good case as long as she can find a judge who's less crooked than those 4 cops.

Its naive to think that this happens all the time, however, it also is naive to think that this doesn't happen enough to be a serious problem. I think about half of all cops are decent or better, another 30 percent okay and borderline, but at least 1 in 10 or 20% who are scumbags. The number, of course, is higher in certain states, often based on the color of the citizen's skin.

I'm sure that after a thorough review, an announcement will be made that these men were following proper protocol.

Keep the people terrorized, fearful and in control, this is the name of the game in government.

And all the more terrorizing and out of control become our darling legalized killers, all the more does our rich nobility have absolute and deadly control.

Now, does it not seem strange that none of the four cops thought to conspire away from the video camera? And the evidence being on tape and guilt beyond a shadow of a doubt, why make the public cook with anxiety thinking maybe those legalized killers may strike again?

For the net effect of this legalized scam is to give us more stress at the sight of the law, and to live in fearful submission to our ungodly rulers who stand above the law.

Those big brown eyes? Add in a little smile........ If I was a cop I'd be looking for her phone number rather than a way to blame her for an auto accident.

Apropos of nothing, at least three of my bro's, in their earlier days, admitted to having crashed cars while looking at some pretty girl.

I'm waiting for the cop defenders to appear. I'd love to hear them explain this away and while they're at it; they can explain why we the public shouldn't be critical and look at the cops claim (even when the cops partners agree with the guilty cop) things went by "the book." I'd also like to see the police unions step up and acknowledge the problem(s) and APOLOGIZE [just as they demanded of the president].

Yet, the courts take that exact position when it's your word against the cops [and their partner]. I would hope the courts re-examine their position on this...for all of our sakes.

This is why the Harvard professor should sue Crowley for false arrest. Since he was arrested without breaking any law, he has a very strong case and could win a large settlement. The fact that Crowley lied in his report, claiming falsely that the person reporting the possible crime had stated that two black men were involved strengthens his case even more.

Crowley and the police are still claiming that they were justified in what they did even though this was patently a false arrest made because the prof was being uppity. Therefore a successful lawsuit is needed to establish the truth about what happened. This would also vindicate President Obama's original statement that the action of Crowley was stupid. If a false arrest is not stupid, what is?

Although Gates may have a case, I think it will be more difficult for him to prove it. This young woman was totally cooperative and the officers involved have already admitted that they were commiting a crime. My guess is that she will get a larger settlement which, I believe, she fully deserves. And I hope that the attorney involved gets the ABA commendation as Attorney of the Year.
01:29 PM on 07/30/2009
It would not be hard for Gates to prove "false arrest". "Disorderly Conduct" is a public offense; it cannot be committed on private property. Gates was in his own home, ergo the arrest was illegal. Not a hard case to win at all.
