Obama Appears On George Lopez's Late Night Talk Show

PASADENA, Calif. — George Lopez landed a big name cameo in the pilot presentation of his talk show: President Barack Obama.

In a clip shown during a Tuesday meeting of the Television Critics Association, the comedian jokingly begs for a cabinet spot from the president.

Obama lightly brushes him off, saying: "George, you need to change late night. That's the kind of change I can believe in."

Lopez hopes the president will appear as a full-fledged guest on his upcoming late-night TBS talk show when it premieres in November. The 48-year-old comedian, who stumped for Obama on the campaign trail last year, told reporters Obama is a "close friend" and that he would be "personally offended" if Obama did not appear on "Lopez Tonight" the next time he is in Los Angeles.

People just have to complain. When we have a president and government that never REALLY let us know what's going on until the economy is ruined..you complain. Now we have a President who is constantly being seen, as he should, and constantly talking to us and making us understand what's happening..you complain. GYR is right on...Obama is waaaay to much into the media....I worked hard for him, raised money, and voted, but I and millions of others, are tired of the tv shows and constant media thing he does.....sometimes, less is more....the country appears to be floundering and all we have is more tv appearance and a prescripted news conference that did not to well. Frankly, comments about the Hispanic vote or the black vote or any other vote betray a racism that seems to have been unleashed and is now stronger than ever. Obama should stay in DC, explain intelligently, the health bill he prefers and why, or the trade imbalance and its repercussions, or the failing economy, or the trillion dollar fiasco that was a bailout to wall st....there is much to do....and Obama is blowing it....

Uh, dear, your post makes little sense....This president, more than any other, is being overexposed on the tv much to his detriment. The fact that many here are even talking about it is proof that it is an issue. Obama was overwhelmingly elected to change the status quo, not to increase tv ratings, which are abysmally low, but his handlers don't get it.....Less is more.....I have no idea who G.
