I think you had a right to call him the same thing you called that other millionaire, Bill O'Reilly, and then wrote a book about him and others.

Pickens knew he'd have to build a pipeline, and to do so at anything resembling a reasonable cost, he'd need the power of eminent domain—the right of a government entity to force the sale of private property for the public good. Water utilities have that right.

Just having their laundry aired in public will make the corruption in Washington go down. The Bush era was rife with corruption and secrecy. This is not how a Democracy operates.
Has Pickens ever heard of the words "I'm sorry" ? Did I miss the part where he said " I apologize for what I did. I was definitely wrong and I'd like to make it up to everyone" ? He sounds arrogant to me. That's no way to make friends and influence people.

Pickens already stopped the windfarms I read weeks ago in "insideautomotive.com." Since gas
became cheaper he did not see the need for new windfarms. Figures. All about money with his
friends in Washington.
I read the comments on Politico (all anti-Franken....big surprise) and I read the comments here (all anti-Pickens). Just glad I am a liberal. Thanks, Al for standing up to people like Pickens.

No, I think you mean dependence on you.
Pickens is an opportunistic person with one interest, making money. He is not interested in energy, he is interested in making you and me paying him big money through concesions in Congress. As I said before, Congress is a corrupt entity dedicated at selling the interest of the American people to the highest bidder.
No wonder Pickens got a warm reception, he was trowing money to the floor for these Congressmen to pick up after. I call that servitude and slavery.

Pickens needs tax credits to make money off of his alternative energy plans. Plus he knows amount of oil left in Texas is limited and will not keep him able to continue with his current life style.
He's an 81-year old relic of the robber barons.
