MSNBC's Donny Deutsch: "If Palin Wasn't Hot Would We Be Talking About Her?" (VIDEO, POLL)

On MSNBC today, CNBC commentator Donny Deutsch touched on two of the biggest Sarah Palin talking points -- why she continues to be a story in the news and... her looks. "The only reason we are so fascinated, the American public has never seen a woman that looks like this in power. That's where the fascination starts." Deutsch continued, "Agree or disagree Leslie? Agree or disagree."

I wouldn't call La Palin "hot," but if she didn't have good looks to go with that thin veneer of faux populism she never would have been a McCain pick. Because she obviously wasn't picked for her brains, experience and political acumen.

The answer a lot of people are not quite getting is: when you say ugly things; you ARE ugly. Superficial beauty may be a factor in purely reproductive terms; the future of the human race depends on much, much more. She may not be as horrific a human being as Michelle Malkin, but who else could possibly want to aspire to that?

I totally agree with this guy's point. The bit at the end from Tameron is just dumb. She obviously spends a considerable amount of time on her looks ( I think she's the best dressed anchor) & understands the power of being attractive.

There is something to be said about beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Because Palin is not as they say, Hot. I should know her name, but it escapes me, but the co-anchor is what I would term HOT.

I disagree somewhat...a good looking woman doesn't always lead with her looks, even though she may take care to look nice. It wasn't until I was nearly in my forties, that I accepted the fact that a lot of OTHER people found me attractive. The fact simply didn't drive my day, because neither my family or those around me made a big deal of my looks growing up and I was also a tomboy. But my mother had always dressed well and I learned from her. So attention to how you dress, is not always driven by vanity, often it is a case of what your mother did and what she taught you. So Tameron, probably has been told she is gorgeous, but I an assure you that for many attractive women that is not internalized. I used to tell myself on bad days getting dressed, I must look 20% better than I think I look, because people are always telling me how well I look. And people forget that often others see you through their eyes not yours. So if someone wanted to be taller and you're tall, to them you are more attractive in their eyes, while you may hate being tall. I think we make the mistake of always presuming because based on our own personal criteria , we find someone attractive, that that person also values what we value. Not so!

Are you kidding, Donny's got it right! We''re a society that places priority on youth and beauty and with $150,000 for clothing, a traveling hairdresser and makeup person, it was a perfect setup for the media to transform her into a ***STAR***

She didn't need a media agent, the MSM made her into a celebrity. It was Sarah, in the weeks that followed who showed herself to be a no-talent.

Nothing more complicated. Let's see how her fan's react to her new career and how the media treats her.

Oh please, who gives a care about how Donny dresses. He works in a creative environment that allows a range of dress codes. I think he like many of us just wanted a change...rather than responding to someone else's idea of what's appropriate.
