Palin Ahmadinejad

Salon:

Aug. 3, 2009 | Is Sarah Palin America's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? The two differ in many key respects, of course, but it is remarkable how similar they are. There are uncanny parallels in their biographies, their domestic politics and the way they present themselves -- even in their rocky relationships with party elders.

Seriously, it's time.

No, because Mahmoud successfully wrangled his way into power, and has been able to advance his agenda by understanding the system in which he works. Herself, not so much.

You are comparing a former American public official to a Middle East tyrant. This speaks more about you than it speaks about Palin or Ahmadinejad. There is no comparison between a liberal democracy and an autocratic regime (Iran is nominally a democracy but in fact the Supreme Leader controls everything). This is disgusting, it is like the right wingnuts comparing Obama to Hugo Chavez.

No, no, no! That is a misunderstanding!

Rather: Ahmadinejad is Irans G.W. Bush!

I don't care for SP but even I wouldn't compare her to that clown. He HAS a plan. She just flails around like a lost gopher.

How about:

The last 8 years...

I inherited this....

The worst president ever...

Let me be clear...

Is that better?

That is an incredibly astute comparison that had not even occurred to me until this very moment

Palin deceived the American people. Please view the video at the site below and judge for yourself. This is the real birther story.

No comparison.

Ahmandinejad lives in reality. He would never declare war on a kindergarten teacher.

Sarah Palin? Her spokeswoman wants us to believe she is not wearing a wedding ring because it smashes her fingers when she shakes hands. Malarky! Sarah Palin once wore her wedding ring on her left index finger just like everyone else. She shakes hands with her right hand just like everyone else. Yet somehow, in some mysterious Sarahland way, shaking hands with her right hand smashes the fingers on her left hand.
And why wasn't she wearing the wedding ring in her Runner's World photo shoot?

Ahmadinejad does not seem to respond to criticism.

He seems to ignore it and continue on.

He most likely sees it as useless and unrelated to his actions.

When someone 'protests too much'...we might want to be concerned.

As for the wedding rings...
she could have come up with a better explanation...I have lost two wedding rings myself...
one fell through the floor grate of our car on a back road one day...it flew right off my finger...(it was not my original ring...I was on the downside of a nasty weight gain and my fingers were almost back to normal)...
the second, my ACTUAL wedding ring...was sawed off my finger one night as I slept...I could feel the sawing action and woke up to find the back of my ring had a gaping hole in it...
after that the ring pinched from time to time and wasn't very comfortable.

Originality AND truth...
they only WORK for GENUINE ARTICLES.

"He [Ahmadinejad] was clearly someone sincerely devout in his religious faith, yet rather superficial in his understanding and inclined to twist his faith tradition in ways to correspond with his preconceived ideological positions.

He was rather evasive when it came to specific questions and was not terribly coherent, relying more on platitudes than analysis and would tend to get his facts wrong."

One big difference: Ahmadinejad isn't a quitter.

Sarah Palin isn't anybody's anything. She just ceases to be on any sort of level.
