Feingold To Oppose Afghan War Troop Increase
Washington Independent:
If Gen. Stanley McChrystal proposes, as expected, an increase in U.S. troops for the Afghanistan war, Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) is "likely to oppose it," the senator told TWI.

All empires begin to unravel in Afghanistan. I'm glad at least one senator knows it.
Thank you, Sen Feingold.
Afghanistan will be the external reason we implode;
healthcare reform, the lack thereof, will be the internal reason we implode.
Either way, the American people are being spent into oblivion with no good return on their investments.
The Senator is right on this issue. The Afghan war and of course the horrible Iraq war do nothing but suck money from our pockets via the Chinese! Stop these stupid attempts at forced democracy.
I like this guy more and more all the time.
Now Senator, get behind healthcare reform 100% with a strong public option and you will be a star!
Good. Thank you.
Keep up the good fight Sen. Feingold !!
You Sir Are Right On !!!
Thank you, Russ. Someone's got to stand up to this empire building. When we spend more on defense than the next ten countries COMBINED and can't afford to provide health care to every American, something is terribly wrong.
I'm with Russ on this one. I have never understood what good could come from our involvement in Afghanistan. I fear that we do not understand fully what we are getting ourselves into...aga
It has already been determined there is no military solution to this war. Why are we still trying to win it militarily other than we don't want to cut off the war profiteers from the money. We can't give our people healthcare but plenty of money for war. SAD.
Someone please tell me why we are in Afghanistan? Obama knew we, the public, are against the war, and he promised us Iraq but what about Afghanistan, same thing again. Oh yes, the war machine who makes money for the rich!
Attempting to control Afghanistan to gain control of their resources for the benefit of American companies is not worth the expense in lives or dollars.
O-bomb-ya needs to get back to the Obama that America voted for. Cut the money burning militarization and bombing of civilians. People in that region do not identify themselves in the same way as Americans or people from most other countries.
If you have ever met a Kurd your know what I mean. They can be an Iraqi Kurd or a Turkish Kurd or from another country in "Kurdistan". They do not usually volunteer the country unless you ask.
