Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) is known for pushing policy on the House floor, but on the style front she's pushed an assorted sartorial agenda including bouffants, pearl chokers, and gray suits. Most recently, she was spotted looking casual in a neck-to-toe pink, Strawberry Shortcake ensemble. Which of Michele's styles are her greatest hits? And which are total misses?

Leo Tolstoy 'Anna Karenina'.Â...."...:her goal is virtue, she's a christian, yet she's angry all the time, and they're all her enemies, and they are all enemies on account of Christianity and virtue."

I've read that her husband chooses her wardrobe - and it shows. Just like he's told her what to do for many years. She's stuck in the 80's corporate wife time warp.

No matter what this woman wears she's a nightmare. By the way pics 6 and 7 are the same outfit, maybe even the same event.

This is a sexist post.
who cares what she wears? I mean, really.
It is the extreme views and nutty conspiracy theories which she sullies our great congress that is dangerous to our country. I have no problem which differing views. I do have great concerns when lies and hate mongering are perpetrated by high elected officials.

Would it be sexist to say that most clothing worn by male political figures is simply too nuanced and not diverse enough to even merit notice?

On the other hand, the outrageousness that comes out of her mouth is what made her a lightening rod for the attention on her clothing. My senator, Patty Murray is known as "the Mom in tennis shoes."

What she wears doesn't concern me...
It's what leaches out of her brain and comes out of her MOUTH that's the problem.

There's nothing particularly wrong about her fashion choices.

It's the fact that she has bats in her belfrey that worries me.

She scratches? My guess is that she should add designer flea collard to her wardrobe.

Whether it is a pretty tin or an ugly tin, when you open it and look inside it's still a fruitcake.

Michelle B is neither a fashion icon or a fashion faux pas. You're only highlighting her style and using such headlines because you don't like her politics.

I don't like her politics either, but to use her as an example of a fashion disaster is not fair. I wouldn't make the choices she does, but they aren't horrible like you imply.

No. They're pretty bad.

This is a very strange kind of fairness that you are asking for here:

so you're basically saying that her political ideas make no sense and it is fair to tell her that but it is not fair to comment on her fashion choices?

I am very well aware that this is the style page, but are you really sure you want to elevate questions of style above matter of politics?

As I said, sounds like a very strange value set to me. If you ask me, it is simply useless and a waste of time to comment on her fashion choices. But there's nothing wrong with it. To call it taboo is quite upside down, I would say. It doesn't matter, that's all.
