George Sodini VIDEOS: LA Fitness Gym Killer Talks Young Women, Shows His House

BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. - The gunman who fatally shot three women at a Pittsburgh-area gym is shown in two Internet videos discussing his desire to "emotionally connect" with people.

The undated videos apparently recorded by George Sodini and posted on Starcasm.net show him touring his suburban Pittsburgh home. He also stands in a doorway and talks about hiding his emotions.

Sodini kept an online diary saying he felt ignored by women and had an "exit plan" to avenge his rage.

In the videos, he highlights his handiwork in the basement where he says he installed paneling and a suspended ceiling. He says "women will really be impressed" by a matching sofa and chair in his living room.

He also focuses on a book on a table titled "Date Young Women."

i agree with you that there is NO WAY to justify this crime... and i surely hate to see any form of social profiling but i wish someone would work out a mathematical formula on human psychological response.

No pity for this criminal, he had more than mojarity of people in this world and he had LOT OF options but he took the most vengeful and cowardly one.

Other emotional issues aside, I see this guy as a victim of loneliness. Why isn't loneliness discussed much in America? For any foreigner who comes to live in America, loneliness is always so explicit, but Americans don't seem to talk about it much. Is a case like this that unique or do we only know about it because it ended badly? To quote from "Habits of the Heart" (a classic work on the cultural analysis of American individualism), "American cultural traditions define personality, achievement, and the purpose of human life in ways that leave the individual suspended in glorious, but terrifying, isolation."

Nice bachelor pad to be honest. His problem was unrealistic expectations. If he'd set his sights real low at first and just had sex with a couple of below average looking women, he'd be less sexually frustrated. If he then kept a couple of those girls on the loop until he found one better looking and continued up until he found what he was looking for or fell in love than he'd probably wouldn't have been so angry (unless he got an ugly girl pregnant). Word to the wise for all single guys. Start low, progress up, that's the way to building your confidence and confidence is key.

I disagree with the people who believe that this man had "low self-esteem", I think his problem is that he had an overly inflated self-esteem. He seems to feel entitled, as if he "earned" to have a "younger" woman because of what he has purchased. Who is this "she" he is referring to in the video that would like matching sofas? He seems to feel that a woman would be happy to be kept by him because he bought a house, big screen tv, computer --- where was his personality? What was he interested in other than getting laid? Did he believe by buying things made him special? Does he not understand that women are in the workfield and are successful and can buy what they want themselves? They are looking for companionship.

Agreed. He was a complete narcissist adn misogynist. He refers to an entire gender as the proverbial "she". No young woman is going to just automatically spread her legs for some guy because he has a sofa and chair match.

God, I'm so conflicted by my feelings. I was thinking the same about how "nice" he seemed. And yet that massive rage and need to kill innocent people. I don't get it. But I also was thinking the very same re the type of women he was after. For the life of me I can't understand why an average looking woman wouldn't be happy to go out with him. I hate what he did so much. At the same time I feel such compassion for someone who felt so rejected by people. Awful, awful.
