When are our Troops coming home from Afghanastan? We just doubled them over there. Did Obama give the Afghan Government a timetable of getting their act together?

Why aren't these a concern now?

Hoping that Obama's request is denied.

Obama needs to state which side he is on- of enforcing our Laws or Protecting The Lawbreakers. So far he seems to be protecting them

Only Prosecution deters Federal crimes, only Prosecution deters Abuse of our Constitution

The only effective way we the voters can stop Torture from happening is to fight for Prosecution of all of those in public office who violate Federal Laws (especially Torture ).

We need to start with Bush, Cheney and their Torture Advocating appointees Lawyers.

We have to make an example of the Bush criminals or it will happen again and again until we lose our most cherished freedoms.

On Wed, August 5 Democracy Now! interviewed "conservative British parliamentarian David Davis about the Obama administration’s attempts to suppress evidence" in"a torture case in the British courts.

DAVID DAVIS: We have in Britain at the moment a court case underway about torture. It’s one of, we think, fifteen cases of really serious torture..... That case is beginning to show complicity in that torture on the part of British intelligence agencies.

The judges want to release some information to the public,...and they have not been able to, because the US administration has written to the court, written to the foreign office and then to the court, saying if they release this sort of information, they’ll cut off intelligence cooperation or reduce intelligence cooperation with the United Kingdom. Now, that’s a serious threat.... We can’t do it, because the Americans are stopping us.

AMY GOODMAN: Clive Stafford Smith, Binyam Mohamed’s lawyer, sent a letter to President Obama, and they’re being threatened for sending the letter containing information about what happened to him.

DAVID DAVIS: Yeah.

AMY GOODMAN: Explain it.

DAVID DAVIS: Well, that was astonishing. .... And to make the point about how restrictive the government was being, Clive included that letter, sending it to the President, and he was told that’s an offense. Now, to tell your president what’s going on is offense seems really rather strange.

Just about the only nation that doesn't know about this is US! Until We the People see what has been done in Our name we won't fully understand why "they" hate us! I guarantee you, it's not for our freedom.

We've already proven that we have tortured. More pictures will prove it more?
More pictures would only recruit more martyrs.
We need to focus on the ECONOMY, JOBS and HEALTHCARE right now.
We can prosecute the war criminals later.

So much for the promise of "transparency" It seems we've made an enemy of the truth.

No no. The 'Criminals" will get old and the evidence will disappear. Health care reform won't be enacted for 4 years after it is actually passed. Its years out into the future.
There is only a few months window of opportunity to go after the war criminals.
04:39 AM on 08/09/2009
Just like Japan pretends war crimes never happened by hiding the truth, and teaching their children lies, are we, the United States of America to join in this sad and easily de-bunked exercise?

Yeah, go ahead and lie. When the truth comes out, the reality will be that we are not only war criminals, but propagandistic liars to boot!
