I watched Hillary Clinton on Fareed Zakaria's show today. As always her comments and observations were insightful and detailed. She is such an interesting person, intelligent, hardworking and a great pick for Secretary of State.
That wasn't embarrassing. Bust a move, Hillary.
I believe, Obama will not run again in 2012, clearing the way for Hillary.(No, Obama is not doing a bad job). I just feel ...
Given Obama's middling performance so far, it wouldn't be a bad idea.
Obama has only been in office a few months and to believe he can undo the damage of 3 decades of deregulation and 8 years of Republican mismanagment is nonsense.
Finally!! A white politician fumbling around, embarrassing the country by trying to act cool..... AND FOR ONCE ITS NOT A REPUBLICAN!
It's not important that she's "cool" or good at it. It's important that she's entering in to the spirit of the occasion and being a good sport. I think she looks far happier and more natural than she did on the campaign trail.
she has been so bright of spirit lately, i hope this means she is in a much happier place in her personal life. good call on Obama's part. people love her abroad. between the two of them, we're doing a great job of rebuilding the American brand overseas.

That was pretty good, Hillary. Carl Rove needs some lessons.
I suppose I am a professional cynic - one has seen too much to believe too much..
But there is something about Bill and Hillary Clinton that is riveting and inspirational. In an America obsessed with the "upmarket" (tawdry?) Kennedys and Bushes, the banality of the Clinton back-story, compared with the good they have done and heights they have reached is, dare I say, the stuff of which icons are made.
Well put.
Why are African people constantly being termed "natives" or "locals"? Were this a European country, neo-colonial terms like this one would certainly not be used - it would be more like "Clinton dances up a storm with the Parisians" or something like that.
I can see what you mean about "natives", but "locals" seems appropriate, and I've heard that term used to refer to Americans and Europeans, too.
That's a subtle point you make, and I will think again about the use of the term "natives." Perhaps there is a subtle perjorative aspect. Thanks for noticing.
Hehe, being the Secretary of State must be such a cool job sometimes. :)
Bolton poised as a distinguished *neocon* will be blaspheming !
Mrs Clinton give him a gesture ,laughing answer.
Bolton who?
Hillary is awesome.
I was too young to care about politics in the 90s. And I LOVE Obama and couldn't stand her during the election.
But I now beginning to see what a strong, intelligent woman she is and I feel bad that I believed the worst about her last year.
1 she dove head first into playing politics and kept trying to smear obama with nonsense instead of presenting herself as a better candidate.
2 her tone of voice is very irritating when she starts yelling during a speech. she starts out fine then always builds up to a shrill yell. this makes her speeches come off as bad in comparison to obama.
3 perhaps most important - she was the spouse of a former president which i would argue should disqualify a person because it sets up an oligarchy.

You mean like when the son of a former President becomes President?
