Levi Johnston And Kathy Griffin Hold Hands At Teen Choice Awards (PHOTOS. VIDEO)

Kathy Griffin, 48, found herself a hunky date for Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards -- Levi Johnston, 19.

Dressed in a pinstripe suit and pink striped tie, the Alaskan teen and father of Sarah Palin's grandson Tripp arrived hand-in-hand with Griffin, planted a kiss on her cheek for the cameras and did some solo posing as well.

No word how the pair became friends, but Johnston told Access Hollywood, "She's beautiful and funny. She's the star of the night."

Johnston has been in LA not just to be Griffin's plus one, but according to E!, also for a Vanity Fair photo shoot.

Gotta love em both for being as famous as they've become. Kathy has worked to get where she is now for years now and no one can deny her that fact. Levi is 'new celebrity' if you will. It takes balls and then some to stay in the media rat race... that I am writing to reply to some of the inane comments on here so far is proof that both of them 'are being dissected and talked about.' Fame is Fame and one cannot deny that fact regardless of how they've come by their fame. How American is that. Levi is handsome and smart enough to keep his mug out there and Kathy is smarter than any of her detractors. Go on with your 'bad ass self,' Kathy!
