What's Your Reaction?

At Yahoo Tech Ticker, Henry Blodget sat down with former New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer to talk about financial regulation, his future plans and the state of Wall Street. (You'll recall that Blodget, a former Wall Street analyst, was a target of Spitzer's ire in a very public 2002 investigation).

They've since patched things up, it seems.

Spitzer, who's been a very vocal critic of the Federal Reserve in recent weeks, said that regulators should stop going "to lunch with bankers" and "do their jobs." "They don't need more power," Spitzer said. "They just need to use the power they have." (Check out Yahoo Tech Ticker for that segment)

In part one, Spitzer addressed who should be held accountable for the financial crisis, and one big target that got away.

None of this can be attributed to "laziness" or "inactivity," gentlemen.

It is called "being an accomplice."

It is called "being bought and paid-for," and "doing as you are told."

Crime, you see, has no natural barriers or restraints. Given access to everything, it will take everything and leave nothing. There is no point at which a corrupt politician, or a ruthless power-monger, will say to himself, "okay, I have enough." Literally, empires have been brought low and laid to waste by this "enemy within," and it would well seem that America is fast on her way to becoming the latest casualty in the annals of history.

Our Constitution is a well-crafted document "of few words," and it has the power to be our rescue but only if it is scrupulously enforced. Start with Article 2, Section 4, which lists "bribery" adjacent to "treason." Eliminate euphemisms like "lobbying" and "campaign contribution." Instead, attack it as the mortal threat to this Republic that it truly has become.

Who killed Wall Street?

Easy answer- conservative ideology killed Wall Street, and turned it into a bloated parasitic bag of refuse.

The only honest business conducted on Wall Street is performed by the prostitutes

The disconnect between the problems facing main street and Washington keep widening. For the past 6 month's we're nothing but talk of regulation, but zero action. What a joke.

The SEC failed because it was TOLD to! The banks and the Fed called the shots vis a vis capital regulatory requirements and got their way.

We can prevent bubbles if the banks and the Fed would STOP CREATING THEM!

This is coming from the same hypocritical crackpot who first claimed that mortgage securitization was essential to American 21st century financial hegemony in 2007 and then lambasted securitizers for intentionally hastily (and I'm being generous by limiting his disingenuous insinuations to that) pricing them earlier this year. Having heard first-hand the testimonials of friends who were afraid to make any business investments due to his heavy-handed practices, I'd say that Wall Street's future is contingent on a full and total absence of Eliot Spitzer in my home state.

Funny isn't it, Eliot Spitzer turns out to be more honest than the people who called for his downfall.

DO NOTHING BECAUSE EVERYBODY IS CR00KED! BS!

Same CEOs that brought America to its KNEES still ON DUTY!

Prosecute 5 LARGEST WallSt Banks' CEOs:

1. Misrepresentation of High Risk Products as Low Risk "AAA" -selling them all over World

2. Manufactured Insider Trading - Far more manipulative than Chef Martha!

3. RE St0len G0LDMAN Software: "Bank (GS) has raised possibility there is danger somebody who knew this program could use it to manipulate markets in unfair ways." Isn't this the MOST AM@ZING ADM1SS1ON in a c0urt of l@w?

4. Another Automated Scheme intercepts real time order messages and insert GS Trades ahead of others trades at lower price so they can capture the BOUNCE from a Big TRADE. IT'S Automatic+ILLEGAL!
______________

Laws on books - LACKING IS AN HONEST ADMINISTRATION TO PROSECUTE!

Misrepresentation is a contract law concept, meaning a false statement of fact made by one party to another party, which has effect of inducing that party into a contract. For example, false statements/promises made by a seller of goods regarding the quality/nature of the product that the seller has may constitute misrepresentation.

Insider trading is trading of securities by individuals with access to non-public information about product/company. Taking advantage of non-public information by an insider during performance of insider's duties, or otherwise in breach of a fiduciary duty or relationship of trust/confidence or where non-public information was misappropriated.

Perhaps you left out a word in your post. Would you like to insert 'should',' 'will' or 'won't' in front of "be?"
