Rahm is NOT a team player, he is petty and vindictive, we can thank Rahm for the bluedogs. The best pitchman Obama could have for healthcare is Howard Dean but because Rahm is jealous and wants the spotlight that will never happen. The best thing the President could do is dump Rahm.

Well, Obama chose him. Obama should be directing him. So what does this say about President Obama's strength and judgment?

The article says the bad blood between the Obama and Hillary campaigns runs deep.

If I had known Rahm Emanuel was going to be chief of staff?

I wouldn't have voted for Obama.

I would have voted for Hillary.

Rahm is a deal breaker. He's a prick.

Maybe President Obama will see the light and will realize that Rahm Emanuel and his Clinton cronies are a major issue not the solution.

The very obsessed partyofone once again blaming the Clintons for all the ills of the world. Didn't Obama decide who to hire? Or does he lack a backbone?

President Obama in 6 months have:

Passed largest middle-class tax cut in history. Negotiated $1 trillion bailout of developing economies at G-20 summit. Steered GM and Chrysler through bankruptcy. Reined in abusive credit card rate hikes. Outlined regulatory overhaul to curb hedge-fund excesses and create new agency to protect consumers.
Cut deals to slash drug prices for seniors by $80billion and hospital costs by $100billion. Earmarked $19billion in stimulus funds to computerize medical records and $21billion to extend insurance for 7million unemployed. Empowered FDA to regulate tobacco. Lifted Bush restrictions on stem-cell research; made morning-after pill available to 17-year-olds.
Protected 2 million acres of public land as wilderness, nearly surpassing Bush's eight-year total. Committed U.S. to treaty phasing out toxic mercury. Revoked Bush-era drilling permits near national parks. Amped up regulatory enforcement; directed billions in stimulus spending to jump-start green economy.
Boosted federal grants and tax credits to help low-income kids attend college. Scrapping system that allows private lenders to profit from student loans, freeing up $77 billion to reinvest in education. Implemented $4 billion in grants for states that allow merit pay for teachers.
Pay attention people, some of the democrats in this comments sound as iliterate in politics as the town hallers
Shame on you

federika:

Who should be shamed? Maybe anyone who thinks the above list is something a president has the authority to do (except the treaties)? Maybe one could feel a president could be praised for supporting the above ideas, but presidents have no authority except to sign or veto the bills. A dictator has the above kind of power you imagine.

Most of things listed are congressional actions which Obama would not have been able to stop if congress wanted to override his veto. Many of the things you mentioned are not even powers the federal government has in the first place, like giving 4 billion to the states for teachers.

You make the presidency sound like Santa Claus, but what you are really recasting it as is a benevolent dictatorship. That is something which is a threat to republicans when there is a democrat president and a threat to democrats when there is a republican president.

Presidents have very limited and defined constitutional roles and I think we need to get back to that viewpoint.

In fact, the most important thing Obama should be addressing is the slaughter of foreigners overseas by our military authorized by congress and waged by OBAMA. Democrats don't seem to care who dies overseas from US aggression as long as a democrat president is in charge of it.

You praise Obama for things he ought to have no authority over and ignore the shameful "waging" of slaughter he is authorizing in YOUR NAME.

Prediction:
In 7 years we'll still be in:

An economic mess
Without public health insurance
In Iraq and Afghanistan.

I wonder if he's related to the following:

Rahm Emmanuel serves at the pleasure of the president who chose him. His influence and his power are only a reflection of the president's confidence. To read some of the posts, one would think that President Obama was as clueless as Dubyah, which is hardly the case. Criticism of of Emmanuel is inherently criticism of our president. Remember the buck stops at the president.

Rahm Emanuel. This is your chance to maybe save this Administration. Tell tour boss to place restrictions on Chinese imports. Why? They have placed restrictions on American pork for the lame excuse of Swine Flu. The Chinese are determine to destroy your economic system. So all they will import are commodities. Now they stop a perishable import, pork. and our producers will go bankrupt. Then their national interests will buy up the remains and take over our pork industry. If you don't start dealing with the fundamental causes of our industrial decline, the Democrats won't long be in power. And we won't need to have elections. Foreign management will be our fate.

I think Rahm Emanuel isn't doing a good job when President Obama always has to compromise to get what he wants. When it should be the other way around when you have the majority in the House, Senate and 60 Votes.

Even though I think Bill O'Reilly really likes President Obama. I don't want President Obama to ever fall into a trap of doing an interview with him or anyone else on that hateful Rupert Fox Network. Bill has tried but failed to get Robert Gibbs on lately. Look at how Major Garrett is acting because he got an unsolicited email from the White House. What does that tell you about how he really feels about President Obama that he is willing to go along with any pretence at fury that Fox News comes up with?

Hillary would be wise to forgo Rahm as her campaign manager. The guy cannot be trusted. He is a sneaky, power hungy fiend. Hillary will get this hands down as millions want real change, not more of the same.
