Memo

Wall Street Journal:

Since mid-July, the White House and the drug industry's Washington lobby, PhRMA, have denied any specific agreement that would give the industry big benefits in exchange for its support for President Barack Obama's health care overhaul effort.

But there is an email outlining a four-part deal that industry lobbyists were sending to each other on July 7. The White House and PhRMA have called the memo inaccurate, though one side or the other has acknowledged three of the four big points.

This backroom deal is un-American!

Affordable healthcare for all vs. profits and a political victory!

Very sad!

CALL the White House at 202-456-1111 and at 202-456-1414 and DEMAND a Public Option.

Where's the memo? I still haven't seen any concrete evidence that this deal exist. It's like the Health Care Reform Bill that doesn't exsist. A lot of talk and nothing concrete.

Can you imagine if populist health care reform had been a Bush-Cheney priority?

What we saw for the last 8 years is what is supposed to happen when one party controls both the White House and the Congress.

Telling people to pressure senators is a f00l's errand, meant to dissipate the efforts at real healthcare reform. The problem is Obama.

Take the anger and protest to the WHITE HOUSE.

This is all Obama's doing.

Until you realize that, Obama and the Democratically-controlled Congress will bat this back and forth until it's 2010 and a campaign issue (again). They were elected in 2008, with a super majority (after a majority in 2006 failed to do it) to get public health care.

Obama is the key to unlocking the blocks. That's what he was elected to do. His oratorical skills were what got him elected by the People to galvanize support for populist issues and get it all made into the law of the land. Obama wasn't elected to get the People to accept Corporate rule.

Until you realize this, Obama will do what Obama does: Kick the can of responsibility down the road, trying to pin it on someone else. "It's Congress's job to investigate & prosecute Bush", "It's Congress's job to deal with health care reform", "It's Congress's job to close Gitmo", etc.

It's BOTH of their jobs.

But as the head of the party that is in the majority and controlling Congress, Obama runs it all.

Of course -- it's going to keep resurfacing until someone believes it's real!

Oh for crying out loud.

Let's see what happens with there is a health bill.

All this emotion and hand wringing is really useless. Calling congress, on the other hand, actually does some good. 1-886-220-0044

No, you don't wait until there is a bill.

Then it's too late.
