Dr. Conrad Murray: I Have Faith The Truth Will Prevail (VIDEO)

Dr. Conrad Murray is breaking his silence via a video message posted on YouTube. In his first public address since the death of Michael Jackson, the singer's embattled doctor thanked supporters for their help in getting him through this ordeal.

"Because of all that is going on, I am afraid to return phone calls or return emails," he said. "Please don't worry. As long as I keep God in my heart and you in my life, I will be fine. I have done all I could do. I told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail. God bless you and thank you."

Murray is the target of a manslaughter investigation and may face a wrongful death lawsuit from Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother.

What I'm really having trouble with is the Jackson family filing a wrongful death suit after the fact. What I mean to say is, where was their outrage during M.J.'s life? Where was the support and love when he was alive and could have used it? It's not like his life and the circumstances surrounding it weren't known. As far as I'm concerned, they are no better than anyone else who'd profit from his death and for that reason and the fact that M.J. was a grown man who made decisions during his life that I hope Dr. Murray walks. M.J. had "facilitators" all around him. Anyone one or the lot of them could have said or done something other than make excuses or explain away M.J.'s behavior. Why aren't these people being called out? These so-called friends? I don't know... Perhaps some of them did say something in private, but that didn't do a whole lot to change the course of M.J.'s life. Sometimes, you can't help someone no matter how hard you try, but how can you take solace in never letting it be known that you at least made an effort? Instead, we get lawsuits after the fact. [Pffft... Thanks for nothing.]

[Question] Can a death by way of drug overdose be considered a suicide, if there's no evidence of criminal activity?

I agree but Dr. Murray knew what he was being "paid" to do and so was Dr. Klein. All the dr's and the pharmacies who provided these illegal narcotics should be charged. Every last one of them!!

I guess the truth (whatever that is perceived to be) will come out in the end. Make no mistake, I do think that if the Dr. was criminally negligent, he should be held accountable, but I still say, not for Manslaughter. He may be guilty of bad judgment for the sake of profit and in so doing violated the Hippocratic oath, but there are so many things wrong with going after him solely while everyone else sat on their asses and watched a man destroy himself. I'm not going to lie, I've never been a fan of M.J., but that doesn't take away my sense of outrage at his family and "friends".

The doctor was there and watched Michael die without lifting a finger. He tried to " help" Michael, but only after he had stopped breathing. Of course, he will say anything now to save his image and his ass but he should know that we are not all idiots. I cannot believe how far it went: you hire a doctor thinking that he will do anything to help you and instead all he does is watch you die. I cannot believe there are people like this, doctors like Murray who above being doctors are people and who do nothing. It is so sad that we live in such a world where it is ok to lie and betray and where are above honesty and humanity. Nothing that the police or anyone would do now, regardless of the punishment the doctor may or may not receive, will bring Michael back but hopefully this doctor will an answer for his actions on Judgement Day; ohhh and boy I bet he will not get off easy while now he is doing it so routinely.
I hope that the authorities aren't just prolonging this because we're talking about Michael Jackson and it would have to appear as if they are doing everything they can. I really hope that they will be doing everything needed to punish the doctor or / and whoever else is guilty for the death of Michael Jackson. Rest in Peace Michael and God Bless you !!!

150,000$ per month to supply and administer drugs to a known addict. Dipravan....a drug used to induce general anesthesia for surgery. Agreeing to give a rich patient this drug in his home to help him get a good nights sleep. This is beyond creepy. A real disgrace to the medical community. The problem is its just about impossible to get these MD pushers unless they confess or something tragic like this happens. The answere in my humble opinion is for the medical community to shun and avoid these quacks once they are identified. it's not so hard to figure out who they are its just impossible to prove it in a court of law.

im getting tired of people blaming other people for this michael jackson is the only one to blame,he knew exactly what was going on,his mother should realize this and stop with the blame and possible wrongfull death lawsuit,that doctor was paid alot of money to do what he did and i dont think he was criminally negligent at all,he was doing a job,if it was not him it would have been someone else.

Sure, MJ understood the dangers of this, and who in the world would want this to even be done without proper supervision, and 1 so called Doc was just not enough!! but Conrad Murray, even the so called Nurse and I say so called because these individuals knew better than to even be a part of this nonsense; money just is not the answer always, well, maybe to some, Murray and Lee; but to do this was illegal and I highly blame Murray and Lee for not even reporting to authorities what was really going on; Please, I agree with MJ's Mother, to go with the lawsuit, America needs this cleaned up and laws amended to protect you and me and our loved ones from Conrad Murray, Cherilyn Lee and others involved in this strange way of harming, not healing, but harming someone even more, what are they in the medical profession for?

I hope you aren't a doctor. Many people have prescription addictions, that's why we have to go to a doctor, get checked out in order to have them. Otherwise they'd be on the shelf next to ibuprofen.

Conrad murray from what I can see has tendencies of a mad Witchdoctor that will do anything, go to any lengths, even murder, handle people how he wants to, illegal handling of drugs, this is America trying to heal, not needing the likes of Conrad Murray nor Cherilyn Lee, witches who need to fly far away from earth.

All involved are to be blamed!!

1) Michael gets 1/3 of the blame for not taking heed, not taking care of himself and using these drugs.
2) The Jackson family get 1/3 of the blame for looking the other way and not insisting he get help, even if it means the media will find out -- his life is worth more than money and fame.
3) Dr. Murray gets 1/3 of the blame for negligence and bad medical ethics for enabling Micheal's addiction.
4) The remainder of the blame goes to the other doctors who enabled Michael's dependency over the years and got away with it. Dr. Murray just happened to be the last doc standing.

lovbug, you are just that, a person a love. I agree 100% here with what you commented on. This matter was not handled by all close to Michael, sadly to say, his own Family; Janet Jackson needs to retire from music altogether. When she let the tiddy lose at the Superbowl some years ago, she should have been 'pleading' for help for her brother. I am sure a lot of people would have honestly come forward. And not only that, plain simple getting on your knees to pray does wonders too, when meant with all sincerity and just wanting to be free, love free, treat people free, kind; Entertainers tend to let money, greed, looks go to their heads which sucks up all normality, a real true brain, life is better than the greed, craziness Janet Jackson and the other entertainers in her family; they did turn almost 100% the other way; My sincerity goes out to Katherine Jackson, of which I am sure has always wanted the very best as real moms do, for their families; I would never get tired of doing what is right and going straight to the source to fix the problem; you are right lovbug, Janet Jackson, the money hungry witchdoctors and others did not care for Michael Jackson, or they would have done more, not get tired, but done more to help him, exposing the matter more to fix this problem; there should not be any more repeats of Dr. Korvorkeian.

This individual Murray, has tendencies from watching him as a Witchdoctor; America is trying so hard to heal from religious turmoils that have happened; Murray needs to stop using God's name in vain and stop harming people with his illegal behavior as pretending to be a true Physician who wants to help his patients get and stay well. He needs to be deported from America, immediately, and stop hurting people leaving them alone to fend' for themselves. This is crazy what he has done and nothing will heal that the way he wants it to heal.

Someone earlier said he was born in Grenada and raised in Trinidad, so it may be a mixture of Grenadian and Trinidadian.
