Jon Stewart Mocks CNN For New Segments 'Just Sayin,' 'Are You Kidding Me,' And 'What The' (VIDEO)

Huffington Post   First Posted: 9/19/09 Updated: 5/25/11

Jon Stewart

In a desperate bid to seem hip, or reclaim some of the viewers they have lost of late to other cable news networks, CNN has launched a series of new segments. "Just Sayin'"..."Are You Kidding Me?"..."What The..." have all invaded the news network, taking on serious topics with ridiculous attitudes.

The Urban Dictionary defines "Just Sayin'" as "a term coined to be used at the end of something insulting or offensive to take the heat off you when you say it." They cite this example:

Jordan: Anna you have really let yourself go. Anna: What the hell! What is your freaking problem?! Jordan: Just sayin' Anna: Oh well in that case, I suppose its okay. Jordan: Friends? Anna: Fer Sure

Oh, also this:

Dude, your bitch has cankles...just sayin'.

Despite all this, CNN has deemed this segment worthy of covering the future of feminism, affirmative action and health care reform. Suffice to say, Jon Stewart was absolutely giddy as he slammed the network asking, "Wanna know what I'm just thinkin'?"

Yea, Olbermann certainly thought his WTF segment was cleaver...just shows how lame Keith really is...same with those pundits who thought they had the secret handshake on "tea bagging" references.

I like the CNN they show in Europe much better.
It's sad that they have this dumbed down version for Americans.

Jon Stewart is only saying that the corporate media is the Great Trivializer. Rather than using the medium to inform they entertain and distort. The role of the corporate media in a corporatist state

Liberal people, How do you get your news?

I download NPR onto my Ipod.

(Repugs who use their index finger to misspell posts here: an Ipod is a listening device and you can access something called "podcasts" and "record" them from your "computer" through a method called "downloading." It's modern. Like Michelle Obama's shorts.)

These guys are starting to make FOX look sane.

Or if not sane, at least, more professional.
