On Fox News' Hannity, GOP consultant Frank Luntz forwarded the false conservative talking point that President Obama plans to cut Medicare benefits, claiming that it "is almost like he's declaring war on Medicare because it's the only way for him to pay for health care," and that it is a "fact" that "[t]hey're talking about lowering the reimbursements for Medicare." In fact, as FactCheck.org noted: "The claim that Obama and Congress are cutting seniors' Medicare benefits to pay for the health care overhaul is outright false."

Luntz apparently has no problem with foreign stockholders acquiring huge stakes in insurance companies in that most profitable business of health care. When the insurers are going to be faced with the choice of healing sick Americans or paying Chinese stockholders ever rising dividends, who do you think they will choose? What a patriot Luntz is.

Obamacare will reduce needed medical care for the elderly, transferring the resources to the 47 million uninsured which includes over 10 million illegal aliens. So yes, Obama socialized medicine is all about reducing care for people in their last years of life, mostly the elderly on Medicare.
