O'Reilly Responds To Jon Stewart's Attack On Fox News (VIDEO)

On Thursday night, Bill O'Reilly responded to Jon Stewart's recent skewering of Fox News Channel, in which he joked that the network is secretly liberal.

O'Reilly claimed that Stewart took two clips of him out of context to make his point that Fox News had become "liberal" by defending town-hall protesters and by continuously whining that the network was under attack.

O'Reilly said he likes Stewart but claimed that since 45% of his audience is liberal, Stewart adopts the same stance: "He continues to dance down the liberal yellow brick road."

Hey Bill, regardless of your daily manipulative baloney, you promoted the ideology that resulted in disaster for most Americans with regard to virtually everything it touched. And you haven't stopped promoting it. All you can do is try to continually distract people from it and blame "the far left," and the "liberals" etc. for the implementation of rightwing ideology, driving your hapless audience further and further from reality. But just remember the bottom line: you and Fox shamelessly and unrepentantly promoted rightwing ideology, and you still do.

Bill O'Reilly positions himself as "your humble corrsepondent". Oh, puh-lease! Such false modesty, but it helps him to then criticize Stewart for being liberal. What a surprise. Stewart is a lberal and makes no pretense otherwise. He's not distorting; he's presenting a consistently liberal and moderate point of view, just as O'Reilly presents a consistent conservative point of view. It's really hard to tell how O'Reilly thinks he scored points here.

Wow, Bill O can now be wrong, and provide evidence that he is wrong, on air, and still be believed. Clip one he claims he was talking about the ARRESTED protesters, but the survey was not about the arrestees. In clip two he claims she was talking about all religions, but she was singling out attacks on Christians, as was the truth of the matter. C'mon Bill O. If you are going to retaliate, at least choose topics that you can have a minimum of credibility on! If you didn't have the power of the mike turn off, and if you were held to ANY amount of credibility as a news broadcaster, you wouldn't even have a job.

"This matter has caused enormous pain, but I had to protect my family, and I did. All I can say to you is please do not believe everything you hear and read."

When he advises his audience to "not believe everything you hear and read," does that include what he says on his show?
