Bill Maher On The 'Tonight Show': Bill O'Reilly Is A Doody Face, Obama Should Stop 'Dicking Around' (VIDEO)

I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Bill Maher

Bill Maher went on the "Tonight Show" yesterday to welcome Conan to Los Angeles, but instead had the host squirming in his seat. With no new projects to promote, Maher spent the evening talking politics.

Conan began by asking Maher about a recent statement he made on CNN calling America stupid. "You know who [got upset]? The stupid people...Bill O'Reilly called me a pinhead, which is a) not true and b) really funny coming from a doody face like him." Maher went on to attack America's misconceptions of our political system and offered the birthers a deal, "I will show you Obama's birth certificate if you show me Sarah Palin's high school diploma."

In the second segment, Conan asked Maher about comments he made accusing Obama of being overexposed. "I get it, he likes to be on TV. I like my bong, I take it out of my mouth every once in awhile." From there, Maher launched into health care, saying the president should stop dicking around and a take a lesson from the Bush administration about how to get his way. "Obama should wake up tomorrow and say 'Jesus told me to fix health care'...This Max Baucus guy needs to wake up tomorrow with an intern's head in his bed." The visibly uncomfortable O'Brien argued for compromise, but didn't put too fine a point on it.

God, Maher makes me laugh - even when I don't agree with him. From idiotic "Birthers" to the Irish Pinhead, it's great, funny stuff.

Speaking of which:

Conan seems like one of the nicest guys in show business. I have such a newfound respect for him. You know what I love most about Conan? He's NOT Jon Stewart. He's not a liberal blow-hard talk show host that is looking to bash or belittle certain groups of people. He's a good natured guy. Bill Maher is so accustomed to like-minded hollyweirds treating his every utterance like gospel. I already loved Conan but I'm crazy about him now!!! Nothing greater than late night comedy that isn't submerged in political trash talking. There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep the peace. Bill Maher blows a lot of smoke-- but he has conservative pals. There's something so ugly and dishonest about how Maher makes his living. Cheap laughs from hateful and overly political rants. I bet he doesn't even buy into his own BS half the time. So yeah... I'd much rather be entertained by someone like Conan. Someone who is talented enough to derive humor from all different points of view... not just one.

Maher proved that in these times of stupid brownshirts, teabaggers and Fox personalities, truth and guts are going to come from comedians. This was a classic performance. Maher is one of the most valuable voices in the nation today. It is sad that it's necessary, but fantastic that we have him. And Obama should stop dicking around. He should be more like Maher. I would love for him to say WE'RE GOING TO HAVE HEALTH CARE REFORM WITH PUBLIC OPTION, NO MATTER HOW A TINY SEGMENT OF LOSERS AND OBSTRUCTIONISTS FEEL ABOUT IT! Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

Bill: I wouldn't eat a hot dog if you put a condom on it.

Conan: Neither would I!

Hilarious!

this is what happens when you take your bong out of your mouth without a good reason.

wow - Conan is a doody-head! I thought he was "cool" but now I see a scared man afraid of the ratings, shooing his "controversial" guest away with little or no grace.

Are you for real...?

'Shooing him away'?

...after about 12 minutes of interview? Should he have given him the whole show...? Maybe let him guest host...?

Someone's already revealed this is a Groucho Marx bit, right?

The negative comments regarding Bill Maher on this site are attributed to one thing only, Maher is 100% right about Americans IQ.
For that matter, he speaks the truth that most "polite-icians" do not want to face or hear, or many lesser-minded Americans for that matter.
Stupidity resounds across these purple mountains majesty...
Bill Maher is the voice of logical thought and progressive reasoning.

It's okay to be offensive if it is true.

Maher is leaving out that they can't keep the Public Option in if they use Reconcilation/51 Votes. Even he doesn't know everything.

isn't there a beautiful irony that currently, it is our comedians like maher and stewart who are the only ones on TV able to tell it like it is. We can't go to the newcasts for that, they are in it for profits alone, but our comedians are turning their razor sharp satire in the direction it is sorely needed.... i think carlin would be proud.

I've heard it said that the essence of comedy is truth. Stewart and Maher speak truth to power.

Yeah, but then you'd get, on the other side, the horrifying combo of Coulter/Palin, or Limbaugh/Palin. Could you stomach even one day of either one of those campaigns? Me neither.

You know what's really sad? The part where Conan starts to make a joke about the KFC sandwich and he backs off because he doesn't want to upset his advertisers. At that point, you're not a comedian or an entertainer anymore; you're a shill. It pains me to say this because I love Conan!

Actually in Conan's monologue, he mocked the new KFC sandwich and named it 'The Last Supper'.

An apt summary of the Republican Party, William Maher.
