Blue Dog Dem Won't Vote For Pelosi As Speaker
The Hill:
A freshman House Democrat from Alabama said Tuesday he would not vote for Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as Speaker again because of her "divisive and polarizing" image.

This guy looks like the Republican type anyway so what's new. Chances are that next election he will be running as one. As it is at the moment he's nothing but a fifth columnist for the Republicans. Should he try to change sides before this term ends, the Dems should obligate him to refund all funds that were given him by the Party to win his election. The Dems should also while they can put forth a bill that says if a Congressman/woman switches in midstream that they must stand for re-election automatically.
Be careful what you wish for,Congresman. The people of Alabama may make it possible for you never having to vote for anything in Congress again. It seems we have the quantity in the House that we need, now let's go for the quality & shake some of these Blue Dog lice off of our coat tails.
Calling people names and talking about protesters as though they are thugs certainly is divisive. It's frankly irresponsible.
He seems to be a democrat in name only. Nancy Pelosi deserves a lot of credit for standing up to the extremists on the right and within her own party. Harry Reid is another story!
Pelosi is disappointing because she is too accomodating of the blue dogs and Republicans... If she were a stronger liberal, Obama would be okay playing the centrist. As it is the left has weaker representation than the right.
Good. That means she's starting to put the boots to the people she should be putting the boots to. Go Nancy!
Well, I agree. We need NEW people, we need to move forward. Pelosi and Reid were shills for GWB, gave him everything he ever wanted. I hope more people will not vote for her. Let us vote out all incumbents, then hold them to their four years term limit. Yes, we can!
Nancy Pelosi Never voted to give W authorization to invade Iraq, which is why I respect her so much. She also never bought into the lies of the Bush administration and she was a major obstacle, getting in the way of his attempts at reforming (destroying) Social Security.
Now she is a Big supporter of the Public Option and again I wholeheartedly endorse her efforts to achieve what the American people want and voted for.
Alabama who cares what comes out of Alabama
Thank you for your elitist opinion.
Parker Griffith from Alabama is NOT a Democrat, he is a Republican trying to hide his biasis and prejudgedices. One thing you can say about the Republikkkans is that they tow the party line and stick together right or wrong, Democrats should learn to do the same. Do you think for one minuet that if McCain had won that he would try to pull the two sides together for Health Care Reform? hell no, he would ram it through and wouldn't care one wit who didn't like it.
well maybe for the wrong reasons but all democrats should vote down pelosi from the leadership. she has shown to be so incompetent. she and reid in the senate; if democrats are lucky to stay in control, should be gone... we need leaders with character and resolve.
