Bennett

The Hill:

The Club for Growth took a significant step Tuesday toward opposing Sen. Bob Bennett (R-Utah) in the GOP Senate primary.

The Club announced an advertising and letter-writing campaign targeted at the 3,200 likely delegates to the state Republican convention. Those delegates will have a big say in who the party's 2010 Senate nominee is.

Lets try this again. See if I can sanitize it to the point it will make it past the censors:

The Club for Growth is wasting their money fighting Bennett. It would better serve their interests (and ostensibly liberal interests) to target actual moderate Republicans. When Bennett is awake, he votes steadfastly with core Republicans. In fact, his primary challenger, Mark Shurtleff, is likely more moderate than he is. Chaffetz may indeed be the right-wing zealot Club for Growth would approve of, but he doesn't stand a chance.

who was it who said..., "gowth for the sake of growth is the ideology of a cancer cell."

we're going to keep growing until we kill the host (earth)

Why does there need to be a Club for Growth???
almost everyone in the country supports never ending, exponential growth on a ball......
everyone in America wants to be a cancer cell, dividing endlessly until we all kill the host
that's wha this country is all about.....

what we need are clubs that oppose growth

Some one has to fight for Americans !

Seems the Republicans only care about the health and wealth of the Central Bankers, war profiteers and would be dictators.

Not fighting the Central Bankers is not and option for us. We have learned from Eroupeans who have been dealing with the Central Banking System 300 years longer than the USA. To prevent becoming slaves in their own country to the bankers they passed DEFENSIVE LAWS to help all their countrymen survive and spread out the cost of health care amoing other things.

So take a good look at who benifits in the end from your position and what you support paying interest on debt will never end and will only put more and more people into poverty each year.
If you think Economic Slavery is a good thing for your Grandchildren and their children keep supporting the Republicans.

Club for Growth. Positioning themselves to hand over another seat to the Dems. These folks are crazy ineffectual at achieving their goals.
12:09 PM on 08/26/2009
Yup. Cuz look at the lessons we could learn from nations that follow libertarian doctrines such as: small government, no regulations, no social security, no national health service. Lets list a few: Haiti, Somalia, The Congo, Uganda, and many more.

Well after all this is the mormon state and they are selfish, arrogant, ignorant and some of the best trained lemmings in the ocean. They do what they are told...gawd. That is a state that could secede and not be missed at all.

How about sending some money to the "Club for Growth" so they could remove all competitive moderate Republicans and then get whacked by Dems at the polls??
06:55 PM on 08/25/2009
At least Dems aren't the ONLY ones who shoot themselves in the foot!
03:58 PM on 08/25/2009
Is there a Democrat running for this seat ? I know it's deep red crazy land, but the Dems have to put up a show of sanity. Some people might just come to their senses.

The Club for Growth is one of the Democratic Party's best assets. They have time and time again knocked moderate Republicans out of primaries with their own loopy right-winger candidates, who then proceed to get trounced in general elections. It's why the Dems have a 60-seat majority. Keep going, CfG!

Is Club for Growth one of those groups supported financially by David Koch? I know he is behind so many similarly named groups...jut wondering. Of course, if so, he only means his growth which has been about 5 fold in the past 6 years. 4.7 billion inm 2003 to 19.2 last year according to FORBES.

I must have had them confused with another group, because I thought they were a Religious group. Wikipedia says they were founded in 1999 by Stephen Moore.

What kind of "growth" does the Club for Growth expect to see if the health care system continue to eat into Corporate America (big and small) like it does now?

What a bunch of incoherent dimwitted asshats.
