DAVID Blaine claims he didn't need any help from lifeguards on Sunday as he battled the huge surf in the Hamptons -- his reported rescue was just an illusion, he says.

"We just went for a little swim. The hurricane had subsided," the magic man -- who once held his breath underwater for 17 minutes -- told The Post's Beth Stebner.
