LaGuardia Airport Shooting Was Drug Deal Gone Bad: Report
An unidentified man is in critical condition after being found shot at LaGuardia Airport.
The man was discovered outside a taxi cab parking lot between Terminals B and C with a gunshot wound to the chest last night and taken to the Elmhurst Hospital Center.
According to the Daily News, "several dozen [cab] drivers gathered at the scene" of the shooting and at least one heard a "boom."
Reports on where and why the man was shot are conflicting. While 1010 WINS reports that the man had just stepped off a flight from Las Vegas and may have been "targeted," sources tell NY1 that the "the man may have been shot elsewhere and was taken to LaGuardia by car." And still more sources tell NBC New York that the man was shot "inside of a vehicle and then pushed out of it at the location."
Police are looking for a silver Pathfinder in connection with the shooting.
