George Washington lead the example, that a president should only run 2 terms, which carried on until the 22nd Amendment was ratified after FDR's 4th term. Although never stated it should only be 2 terms, most presidents followed George Washington's lead, and very few attempted a 3rd term. I believe all House Representatives should be voted out of office and the people should vote in new House members, which would all agree to a new Amendment. The Amendment that would enforce term limits on House Members. That way we know the government is truly working for us, and not just following their political agenda. Sorry for any mixups, as I realized what I was trying to say was incorrectly stated.
I think you stated it very well and I agree with you. The people of the U.S. can have term limits,
even if not a law. Never vote for a person more than two times. Period. If enough people in
enough states would do this we could change our country and be truly represented by honest people.

Wow, its monday morning and no new beck stories on HP.Everyone there must have taken off the weekend. I`m sure glenn has already pulled up HP this morning and was upset about it . Oh well the dumb kid i guess will have to make do with a # 1 best selling book, over 3 million viewers on tv now,one of the fastest growing radio shows and for bonus he drives the libs crazy!

I think we should start a boycott on Fox advertisers.
George Washington made sure that the president of America could only run 2 terms. He believed that if any government ran for any longer than 2 terms, it would most certainly lead to monarchy. I believe We should enforce term limits on all congressman, senators, and governors as well. I believe that's the only way we can be sure that they are working for all of us. Not only for them and their families.
I'm finding it quite interesting that nobody has anything to say to this. Obviously everyone here cares about politics. Where are the opinions?!

ok, there was no opinion on what I said above. Roosevelt was a four term president. It didn't lead to monarchy, obviously. After his 4 year term they passed the 22nd Amendment. A couple of people have tried to repeal it. I disagree with those people. That's about as far as my opinion goes on that. Why do they need more time than that? 8 yrs is plenty. I think our Founding Fathers were truly onto something when most of them respectfully chose not to run a third term.
There were no term limits until 22nd amendment which was ratified in 1947.
This was in direct response to Roosevelt being elected 4 times.
Unfortunately, no congressmen or senator would ever vote to limit their own careers and it is illegal to put a federal initiative on a ballot in a general election.

If sponsors keep giving Fox News the same amount of cash, but request the ads not air on Beck, then it will have zero effect.
I mean, he's back from "pretend to take a vacation while the heat is on," with a whole week of "socialist" this and "czar" that masquerading as news.

Chavez closed 32 radio stations that did not follow his line just in the last 2 months
closed two cable stations and has a 5 hours Sunday show "Alo Presidente" that is required to broadcasted throughout Venezuela.

Do you truly support those bailouts? Why? Health Care reform, of course you want the health care reform plan they are trying to shove down our throats. You are probably lazy and would take any free handout you could take from the government and the tax payers. Do some research. Before you go on the "they are trying to implant fear into our brains!" tyrade. Why would just another american who has NOTHING to gain but their freedom, want to implant fear into your brains? Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin... they could all choose to talk about ANYTHING. What do you think they gain by talking about politics and instilling FEAR into your brain. Because they could get those ratings just as easily by talking about flowers and rainbows. They are educated, factual, and AMERICANS. Which is more than I can say for anyone who wishes to point a finger at someone and doesn't even know why they're pointing their finger in the first place.
