this man should be sentenced to the full penalty, despite his age. this has to stop before some-one else is killed. i also think the people instigating this should be prosecuted

Religion from the Latin-religare meaning to tie fast-some have said it means to lead out of-personally I prefer the tie fast defination. This argument is so old and so tired and so tied to the great father god in the sky and his son.....people are and have been killing people because of a zygote. others without a job even have 8 zygotes implanted. WTF! Serious issues, serious problems and the polar ice caps ARE melting. Some wack-a-do in Idaho wants to hunt the Potus and some fruitcake in Washington decides he's on a mission from god to kill a physican and 26% of the population thinks killing a person who doesn't meet with their approval is okay.....a very troubled nation without a cultural identity.....we killed or attempted to kill the existing one.

As I've said before during this whole health insurance debate, it's NOT about health insurance, overall, for the fanatics at the townhalls, but below the surface it is about the abortion issue. They just needed another platform, but eventually the real issue will surface once again that it is about Pro-Life Vs Pro-Choice. Think about it. They don't want government "interference" in their health care, at all. The abortion issue, in their minds, is one and the same and why they are so fearful of national health insurance. They see it as the slippery slope which they have been openly and forcefully protesting about for years.

And yet almost EVERYDAY people openly threaten the life of our President live on TV and on the Radio or incite others to do the same and get PAID to do it and none of them are arrested.

hmmmmmmmmmmm

This is good but I'll go one step further. I do not understand why Pro Choice people are not as active as these nut cases. I'm sorry but we should be out in droves, protesting their offices and homes. We should have their pictures up and follow them where ever they go. Why isn't the faces of these people who are making these threats up in every pubic building, post office, bus stop and police station reminding everyone that they are terrorist, murders and a threat to the constitution. Additionally, progressive people need to get more aggressive, just because you're in the right doesn mean you just sit there and say "I'm above this". I swear, if I needed an abortion and one of these clowns approached me as I'm entering a medical facility, they would find out what violence really is. This has got to stop. Period.

Powerful, powerful film by this doctor and everyone should watch it. As far as not understanding why Pro Choice people are not as active, and I understand your concern, I believe that folks who are Pro-choice "understand" it is a private matter and one between their God, or not, and their personal beliefs. The Pro-Life people don't understand that.

The GOP should do the right thing, the Christian thing and the American thing and speak out against their members - the rightwingnutters - that threaten violence.
Republican representatives and republican talking heads making the threats is very dangerous and these people are prompting their members to harm and worse.
Hypocrites.

The GOP made the decision to get in bed with these people, and have happily exploited their fears and prejudices successfully. They don't have the integrity to disengage from their base.

We some politicians with spindes to LOUDLY state a woman's right to choose has been the Law of the Land since January 22, 1973.

WHERE ARE THE SCREAMERS ABOUT CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS?

These anti-choice people promote murder of physicians and other innocents. They should be dealt with to the full extent of the law.

Since the National Pro-Life Alliance out of Virginia is currently gearing up efforts to reverse Roe v. Wade, hoping to gather 1 million signatures to present to congress, I think it's safe to say that things are about to get even uglier. We need to do something about this NOW. Dr. Tiller's assassin should get the death penalty, but he probably won't since it's Kansas we're talking about here. An example must be set to deter the anti-choice terrorists from taking the law into their own hands. Putting them in prison is fine, but we need to go after their bank accounts and those of their organizations and expose anyone they're involved with. People may hesitate to commit these crimes if they know their own families will be left destitute or open to public ridicule. If people step forward to help them, expose them and their families too. Sunlight is a good disinfectant.

It's hard to understand how one can claim to be pro-life and yet are prepared to murder!

I can understand where they're coming from, but this conduct is one step beyond.

"pro-life" is truly anti-choice. I find it revolting that right-wingers and fundamentalists of every stripe consider women sub-human, and of no value except as brood mares. I remember being told as a child in Catholic schools that the only good thing about marriage is that it produced more virgins.

All of the overzealous right wing nuts need to be held accountable for their threats. They also need to understand that there are many of us who are Christian and who support a woman's right to choose. I do not however, support the right of others to impose their beliefs on any of us.

The other thing that the right wing morons should realize is that no one that I know is in favor of abortion. We probably all wish or would agree there should be fewer; however, imposing your will on others is not the way to make it happen.

I expect the Secret Service and the FBI are watching him very carefully. His amoral response when asked why he brought an assault rifle to an Obama event -- "because I can" -- points to the necessity of rational gun regulations and recognition that America's religious zealots are no different from other fundamentalist terrorists and need to treated similarly.
