Madhavi Bhasin: A.Q. Khan, "Father" of Pakistan's Nuclear Bomb, Speaks Out
Though Dr. Khan is no longer associated with Pakistan's nuclear establishment, his pardon and release could embolden others for indulging in illicit nuclear proliferation activities.

BBC REPORTS: "The US has repeatedly said it wants to question Dr Khan, but Pakistan has always refused access."
IMAGINE IF the US would repeatedly say it wants to question Mordechai Vanunu, the Whistle Blower of Israel's WMD Program, who provided the photographic proof and told the truth that Israel already had upwards of 200 nuclear warheads in 1985!
But as Vanunu told me in 2006:
“Many journalists come here to the American Colony, from CNN and NY Times. They all want to cover my story, but their EDITORS say no...The BBC and CNN wants to interview me; but they say they can't do it because they don't want problems with the Israeli censor.
"Sixty Minutes from the United States from the beginning they wanted to do a program, but because of the censor situation they decide not to do it. Also big media from Germany, France, Italy, Japan. None of them wants problems with the Israelis."
Screw the Censors!
2005, 2006, 2008 video interviews with Vanunu and reports from Day One of Vanunu's FREEDOM OF SPEECH TRIAL in the 'democracy' of Israel which denies him the RIGHT to leave the Jewish state are freely streaming @ VANUNU ARCHIVES:

I should clarify that Vanunu was NOT a scientist, but just a regular guy who took a low level tech position in Israel's 7 story under ground WMD Facility in the Negev known as the Dimona so he could support himself through university.
It has been falsely reported that Vanunu was a scientist, but his BA degree is in philosophy and geography.
While Vanunu worked at the Dimona, Israel was still claiming it was a TEXTILE Plant and ONLY because Vanunu was a good worker was he cross trained in many departments: and that is how he figured out that Israel was working on thermonuclear bombs and already had upwards of 200 nuclear war heads in 1985.
He suffered a crisis of conscience about being a cog in Israel's nuclear insanity and that was what compelled him to do what he did-shoot 2 rolls of film and tell the truth in 1986.
He paid with 18 years in jail-most all in solitary- and although released on April 21, 2004, Israel denies him the right to leave the Jewish State, claiming his "case is still generating great interest, like any other security-related case. The media's attention he gets is proof of that."- Israeli Supreme Court President Dorit Beinish, July 6, 2009
AQ Khan was convicted as the head of a conspiracy.
NO OTHER member of his conspiracy was ever convicted.
Bush knew this and did nothing to "keep us safe".
AQ Khan has been under house arrest these years, pretty much coming and going as he pleased.
This was OK with Bush, who decried the proliferation of nukes, but did nothing to this man who gave info to both N. Korea and Iran.
I agree. And if CIA/Mossad/MI6 doesn't kidnap him Pakistani Intelligence will "terminate." Poor guy doesn't stand a chance. He was the fall guy for the Musharraf government.
I do not think so. He got basically no punishment, plus no other member of his admitted network was ever convicted.
This is basically a free pass for him.
If Mossad or someone else takes care of him, I dunno, but the Pakistanis have basically treated him as a hero.
The man who gave North Korea the bomb is on the lose. Is this a wily ploy or a ridiculous blunder. He is either going to be very rich or very dead. Time will tell.
