Spanish Summer: Princess Letizia And Sonsoles Espinosa Beat The Dog Days With A Dose Of Style (PHOTOS)

Hace calor in the Iberian Peninsula and the two most fashionable ladies in Spain are using summer style to keep cool. Princess Letizia and her family vacationed in Majorca at the beginning of the month and she relaxed in t-shirts, light-weight pants and dresses, summer scarves and of course, sunglasses. Sonsoles Espinosa, the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, has also been out around town, wearing black, white and ballet flats. Thank you for the pictures of Elena Salgado! She is just lovely. Such grace and class. There is no American woman I can think of that has this kind of style. It must be a European style. We seem to have lost the ability to dress with any style. Manner still matter in Europe.

I know that I'm speaking as an American who dresses out of physical comfort, but how could anyone dress heavier than that in Spain during the summer? I once spent a week and a half in Toledo while there was a heat wave. I would have probably suffered heat exhaustion had I worn anything more than shorts and a T-shirt.

Full stop one you get to american, we are talking about a European Princess, who is spanish to boot, in a very different league than the flip flop tank top wearing overweight american girls.

Toledo it is in the middle of Spain, it is very hot in the summer, but Mallorca is an island in the Mediterranean sea, the weather is perfect and the breeze is cool. It is one of the most chic palces in the Maditerranean sea many celebrities go to Mallorca or biza for their summer holidays. Michael Douglas, Claudia Shiffer have wonderful houses in Malorca and Andrea Casiraghi, Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs, Valentino, ecc, spent their hollidays in Balear islands. And I have never seen them wearing shorts and T-shirts...

Id love to see her with nothing on, it is a shame that we have such limitations on exposing what is obviously a perfect body.

her mother and her sisters are also very thin, have they also eating desorders? japanese people are also skinny, so the are anorexic and bulemic...maybe the problem is that American people is too fat...and it is better to see others problem than starting a diet...

The US is the land of "supersize me" type food, I have to agree. I've visited other countries and it's not as commonplace to see the ratio of obese people we have here in the States. We live in the land of unhealthy food and high fructose corn syrup, which messes with your metabolism. Letizia doesn't look like she has an eating disorder, there's nothing wrong with being a thin woman with a small frame. I don't get the ridicule.

Espadriles are very popular in Spain and many Mediterranean countries, and not just for woman...they look chic and fresh...now it is very popular as a gift for the women in the weddings, so they can use confortable shoes after the wedding dinner...for the dance floor...
