my Welsh Corgi "jack" would be fine if I brought him to my office (law ofc) he loves attention and other people, but if my husband took him, not so good; Jack thinks he's the boss of my husband and no one is allowed near him.

I'm so jealous Senator Ted Kennedy got to bring his fur babies to work. One of the best parts of working from home is to have my dog lay next to me on the couch. Woofing quietly through closed lips, kicking me as he chases varmints in his sleep.
I can take mine to work if I want to, but since it's a vet's office they're not real thrilled about it. So I just let them stay home and hold down the FURniture while I spend my day fussing over other people's dogs (and cats). Glad your fur baby is with you all day. If we all spent 24/7 with dogs the world would be a better place!
I heard an interview where someone said that she had an appointment to meet someone in Kennedy's office building. Ted came along and this person met him. He insisted that this person meet Splash and Sunny, that they were in his office and they must come to his office to meet them.......How sweet is that. How much love did this man have??? One of the grandchildren was talking and said that she got up at 6:30 and would go out and sit on the porch, at Hyannis. There would be sitting was her grandfather and she said that it was just awesome, talking to him about things, and feeling better after talking to him.....this was a child speaking of these memories.......and all of the younger ones agreed that their favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because it would be with him at Hyannis Port, and they would go sailing.......can you imagine the happiness of little children in that environment?
I am a sheltie and I am envious of Splash and Sunny! I bet they will miss him really badly.
Kennedy's dogs may be missed but, lets get rid of those old Blue Dogs that keep messing up the place.
3 shar-peis............YIKES! There is no way I could control all 3 of them at once. Especially in an office setting.
However they certainly do make one's life better.

i love my puppy. he is 100lbs of love. he is a rottweiler mix. his mom was akc rottie, and dad hopped the fence. so they gave the puppies to the shelter. i generally figure someone who likes animals can't be all bad.
The best judge of character I know is my little chihuahua( I have 13 dogs, all rescues) if she doesn;t like someone we are always leery of them. And if she doesn't like them, it's funny because 2 of her brothers are german shepards(retired police dogs that needed a home) and they instantly flank her to back her up. Its kinda cute, the 5 pounder running the show :)

Relevance is that he could control 3 40 pound dogs and still conduct business. That says a Hell of a lot about his command and control.
If you can indeed conduct business and manage even one dog peacefully you are good in my book. Kennedy, I did not know this about him. I had thought well of him for many years, and yet now, only now, do I find out he kept his PWD's with him in the office.
This would have meant even more months ago, to me. But now I am sure he cannot be replaced.

I'd like to start a petition to ask President Obama to change Bo's name-- the PWD given to his family by Teddy-- to Teddy, or Kennedy. How about that? We need another Kennedy in the White House keeping our President company.
